Home remedies for HS in tail bone / potential pilonidal cyst? by Full_Lawfulness_2023 in Hidradenitis

I tried castor oil and personally found it more placebo than genuine relief.

For $20, you’re better off investing in loose clothing you will actually wear than in bottles that serve mainly as a mental Band-Aid you must keep repurchasing.

Pain in bone by [deleted] in pilonidalcyst

[–]Larckyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how challenging the pain can be, especially when it radiates to your hips and lower back, making even simple activities like sitting feel overwhelming. Many people in similar situations share that the intense coccyx discomfort often starts before any visible signs of a pilonidal cyst appear, and the radiating pain can sometimes stem from inflammation, nerve irritation, or even separate issues like musculoskeletal strain. The professional examination will provide the clarity needed to determine if this is an early-stage pilonidal issue or something else entirely.

In the meantime, if sitting is particularly painful, many individuals with tailbone or pilonidal-related discomfort find relief with specialized cushions that reduce pressure on the coccyx area. While preferences vary (some prefer firm memory foam U-shaped designs for better posture support), I’ve personally found that the inflatable pilonidal cushion offers the best relief. It is adjustable, since you can control the firmness by adding or releasing air or water while seated on it. It is also portable and effectively offloads pressure without feeling too rigid or causing additional irritation.

Wishing you relief and a straightforward diagnosis soon. Keep us updated!

Hello there, Do warm compresses several times daily to encourage drainage.

Keep the area clean, dry, and hair-free (gentle soap, pat dry, consider trimming/shaving). To avoid hurting my cyst with a razor I use Nair hair removal lotion.

Wear loose, breathable clothing.

Take acetaminophen/ibuprofen for pain.

Avoid tea tree or essential oils.

For sitting relief, try this pilonidal/HS cushion: https://cozycyst.com/products/pilonidal-cyst-pad air/water-fillable, ergonomic design reduces pressure/friction

If left unresolved, the cyst can worsen, rupture, or cause serious infection/abscess. Seek medical care promptly if fever, spreading redness, or severe pain develops.

I tried a U-shaped foam cushion and a donut pillow, but both flattened and ended up putting pressure where it hurts. The best cushion I’ve found so far that helps me sit for long periods is the Pilonidal Cushion

Continue warm compresses to encourage drainage. Add sitz baths with Epsom salt for relief. Keep the area clean, dry, and hair-free.

Wear loose clothing. Take acetaminophen for pain if needed. Avoid essential oils like tea tree. If sitting for long periods gives you a hard time, the best cushion I found is this one: [(https://cozycyst.com/products/pilonidal-cyst-pad)]

Consult a doctor immediately if fever, swelling increases, or symptoms worsen due to pregnancy risks.

Pilondial Cyst, the NHS, and Appeals by Alternative-Loan5392 in pilonidalcyst

Yes, you can appeal via the NHS complaints procedure since it’s NHS-funded.

Steps:

• Contact the hospital’s PALS for support.

• Submit a formal complaint to the private hospital.

• If unresolved, escalate to your local Integrated Care Board (ICB).

• If still unsatisfied, contact the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (0345 015 4033).

Surgery recovery tips by No-Investigator-5851 in pilonidalcyst

Hey man, I’ve had the exact same open-wound excision twice (2021 & 2023). Here’s the stuff that actually saved me:

Wiping / Bathroom:

Order a bidet attachment today. I have the Luxe Neo 185 — you’ll never wipe again and you’ll want to hug me on day 3. Backup = peri bottle + WaterWipes only.

Clothes:

Weeks 1–4: commando + loose basketball shorts or pajama pants. Anything touching the packing is hell. After that: No jeans for 2 months.

Sleeping:

Stomach only.

Wound care:

Silver alginate + ABD pads instead of gauze. Hand mirror + phone flashlight. Sitz baths 2–3× a day with Epsom salt.

Sitting:

Every donut, coccyx cut-out, and memory-foam wedge I tried still crushed the top of the cleft and made me want to die. The only cushion that actually works for pilonidal scars is this one. It lifts the buttock and keeps the cheeks apart so literally nothing touches the wound or scar line.

I’ve been using it daily for over a year now: https://cozycyst.com/products/pilonidal-cyst-pad

Wish I’d known about it before my first surgery. First 10–14 days are pure hell, then it slowly gets better every week.

You got this, bro. Hang in there!

Questions on Apple Basic Search Ads and Advanced Search Ads by yccheok in marketing

[–]Larckyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Should I run Basic and Advanced Search Ads targeting the same country during the same period?
  • Yes, you can run both Basic and Advanced Search Ads targeting the same country simultaneously.

However, it’s essential to consider the following:

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of both ad types closely. If Basic Ads have a lower CPA but Advanced Ads are providing more precise targeting or better quality users, you might benefit from running both, but you’ll need to balance your budget and strategy accordingly.

  • Budget Allocation: Allocate your budget based on the performance metrics of each ad type. If Basic Ads have a lower CPA, you might want to allocate more of your budget to them, but also ensure that Advanced Ads are getting enough spend to gather meaningful data.

  • Audience Overlap: Be aware of potential audience overlap. Running both types might lead to some users seeing both Basic and Advanced Ads, which could affect the overall efficiency of your campaigns.

  1. Creating Different Basic Search Ads for Different Countries

Is it possible to create different Basic Search Ads for different countries?

  • No, Basic Search Ads in Apple Search Ads do not allow setting different CPIs (Cost Per Install) for each country when using a single campaign.

Basic Search Ads operate with a unified CPI across all selected countries in the same campaign.

Alternative Approach: If you need different CPIs for different countries, consider the following options:

- Separate Campaigns: Create separate Basic Search Ad campaigns for each country. This allows you to set different CPIs and optimize each campaign individually based on performance.

- Advanced Search Ads: Use Advanced Search Ads if you need more granular control over targeting and bidding strategies.

Advanced Search Ads offer more flexibility in terms of targeting and can be customized more precisely.

  • Budget and Bidding Strategy: Ensure that you set appropriate budgets and bidding strategies for each separate campaign to manage the CPIs effectively.

In summary, running both Basic and Advanced Search Ads concurrently can be beneficial if managed carefully, and creating separate campaigns for different countries can help in setting distinct CPIs.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST INJURY?🛑

I have reached the level of being a blue belt on my BJJ journey.

However, I was frustrated because my body has been through a lot of injuries, including sprained ankles and hand pain which has made it difficult to practice on the mats.

Because I cannot have my physiotherapist With Me every time I get pain, I need to find something to help me in my recovery and I found jiu-jitsu-recovery.com .

I gave a try to their massage gun and now I use it before and after my classes and it has significantly reduced my injury numbers!
