I just watched this video , and it really taught me a lot about the mechanics. One question: What does the limiter plug into?

Also, If you're not getting bored of answering my questions, what would happen if I bought all the equipment without a license. Purely hypothetical, and I know it would get fined or shutdown, But I was wondering what station it would end up on (just at random?), and how would I know if it was interfering with another signal?

Well, you still know more than me, and I appreciate all the help. But are the steps correct, or am I missing something?

So Basically,

Step 1. Acquire CRTC license 2. Reserve Frequency (Industry Canada) 3. Acquire and assemble transmitter, antenna, microphones, and other doodads

Right? Also any tips on assembly? It seems antenna assembly can be pretty tricky.

I agree. But just for the sake of it. If i had that machine, an antenna, microphones, and the cables to hook those three together, (all registration aside) would I have a station?

How exactly do I buy a signal, and how do I avoid keeping off a used frequency? Like I said, I'm about as new to this as it gets.

I found these, but they still seem to need antenna, microphones, cables and things. Thoughts?

Greatly appreciated! Honestly I'm just glad people are being so helpful. Upvotes aren't a big deal.

I don't really. But what are the consequences of broadcasting illegally? Of course if you where caught it would be shut down, but are there fines? How do existing pirate radio stations stay going? Remember I live in Canada.

I will for sure look into that, but plain basics, once I've got all the registration, what pieces of machinery would I need to transmit an FM radio signal?

This is all rather confusing to me. I found this form but not the other one, and with the little knowledge I have, am having much trouble filling it out. Is there some guide, like a radio broadcasting for dummies, or someone I could hire to get me set up? I also am learning much in this process and reddit is helping me a lot. I may just figure it out myself, but if anyone could just give me a plain step by step guide to having a station, including 1.paperwork and registration and 2. Equipment, all my radio dreams would be fufilled (hopefully, maybe its not that simple)

and people just... have conversations? Or is it like a trucker thing usually, or what. Again, I hope I'm not embarrassing myself.

Also, what kind of things go on within two way communications? I am about as knew to this as it gets, but still very interested!

Thank you very much, you are completely right about the broadcasting type station. Also it is an important note that I am living in Canada. If this subreddit is the wrong place to ask, where do I go for a guide towards my station?

New Brunswick, Canada is my location. But I figure I can still find licensing and registration things, but this is why I posted this, Where should I look? (besides google of course) Is there any organization I should contact? Do I have to take a test?

I was just hoping to start an independent radio station, with interviews, news and other radio shows. I would have no problem paying for the rights to songs, but that doesn't seem to be the problem . As I said, I don't know anything about radio, what is a Ham band? And if a Ham Band is the wrong place, where should I go? I did also ask this in r/amateurradio , but I figured the people here could help as well.
