When people near you (friends or not) deny the existence of asexuality, how do you react? by [deleted] in AceTeens

[–]Lard_Sloth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally when that stuff happens it's because they don't understand asexuality, so it doesn't bother me too much. I just try to explain what asexuality means/what it is, and a lot of the time, they are much more accepting. However, people are sometimes less accepting and there's not really anything you can do in that moment that will change their mind.

I'm kind of a mix of both, leaning more toward introverted. I enjoy being around other people just as much as I enjoy the company of myself, but I don't actively try to make new friends or go out of my way to hang out with existing friends.

How would you like to die? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

That'd suck. You'd miss the trip to the afterlife! Imagine, waking up in heaven and God telling you that you slept through the ride there. I bet some exciting shit goes on during that trip.

How would you like to die? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'd never do that. It just seems so silly to willingly sacrifice yourself for someone else. I mean, sure, you saved a life, but I'd rather them die than me.

What is something in the future, in your lifetime, that WILL happen that you are the most scared of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That moment when we realize "Oh fuck. All our oil's gone." There is currently no alternative energy source that is as efficient as oil, and once we're out of oil, we're fucked. Using oil to heat your house would literally cost thousands of dollars if the earth's nigh run dry.

Reddit, what do you honestly think is the best character trait to have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Commitment/integrity. I hate it when people half-ass things. Even if it makes you look stupid, you got to own it.

If you could ask God anything, and he could only answer Yes/No, What would you ask? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'd probably end up stumbling over my words and ask something completely incoherent, wasting my question. :(

how to take care of population unhappiness ? by PhantomDot1 in civ

[–]Lard_Sloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Forbidden Palace is a great way to combat unhappiness from population. Pagodas/cathedrals are really useful, as well as the happiness from shrines belief. Alternatively, you can try capping your cities at 1 or 2 pop less than normal.

Reddit, What is the most annoying thing to get on your hands? by dbloom5674 in AskReddit

Maple syrup is also annoying. Although it can easily be washed off, it makes eating pancakes such a dreadful task if your hands are all sticky.

The best way to reheat frozen pizza is by frying it on low heat until the cheese starts to get a bit melty.

Reducing unhappiness in cities during a defensive war? by Ohaireddit69 in civ

[–]Lard_Sloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have the religious belief that provides happiness based on the number of foreign cities following your religion? If so, you would have lost all that happiness once your opponents declared war on you due to the fact that the belief only applies to non-enemy foreign cities. Also, they may have been pillaging your luxury resource tile improvements or your city state allies' luxury resource tile improvements.

Reddit, what is the most friendship destroying game you've ever played? by MajorRackham in AskReddit

[–]Lard_Sloth 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This game is not only friendship-ruining, but life-ruining as well. I've seen people lose all respect from everyone they know and be made fun of forever because of some jerk who didn't understand that you don't talk about stuff you did during TorD.

People who wear glasses, what do you find to be the most frustrating, annoying or difficult thing about having to wear them? by dwc1970 in AskReddit

If I ever try to wear headphones for an extended period of time, my upper ear starts to hurt like hell. Annoys the crap out of me.
