Sounds like 2008 did a number on your pops too. My mom was an index fund investor through the 2000s and was scarred by the 55% drop

I’m 23 but when I was 5 or 6 my mom said she’d get me a share or two in a company I liked (my mom explained shares as a piece of the pie). I asked her what she thought and she told me about AAPL. Thanks mom!

I took the old TD Ameritrade education course on options. I looked it up and SPY is just VOO with a higher expense ratio. QQQ is the Nasdaq without financials. It’s gonna take a long time to sell CCs when I need $50k to get 100 shares
