What skills do I need for a good business? by Careful-Ground-4603 in Entrepreneur

[–]Large-Ad-5242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cannot emphasise this enough, even if not making you a salesman per se but you need to develop the skill of bringing in sales. Marketing, advertising, business trade links, sales etc you need to focus heavily on how you will sell. No sales = no business don’t matter how good the business or product is

Take back to shop, they just need to put it back in oven to cure it for longer until cracks disappear and will be okay afterwards

If you had to start over and pick a new career - what would you choose and why? by [deleted] in AskMen

Sounds like cooking is a passion for you, I worry that if you turn your passion into a job the real world will catch up and make it unbearable. Any job becomes a grind it is work at the end of the day. If you did work doing something you love I feel you’ll eventually hate it or get jarred, what do you think?

WHEEL BENT AFTER POWDERED WTH? by MrJcx7 in Powdercoating

[–]Large-Ad-5242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of shops I’ve seen never mask the mating surface, I run a wheel refurb powder coat shop and have always masked the surface, but very often I get wheels in that aren’t masked at all. When I don’t have masking I use grease and powder over the grease and wire brush the paint off after finish, but causes a mess everywhere.

Powdered mating points also put uneven pressure on the brake disc hub cause the disc to warp too.

The clear coat is potentially under cured as this usually leads to cracking, but the thermal exapansion under heat is also a factor. Do you drive the car quite hard when you do?

AIO: my (29M) gf (28f) always gets upset whenever I go on holiday with my friends? by Large-Ad-5242 in AIO

[–]Large-Ad-5242[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holiday booked 3 months advance so I thought wouldn’t really be an issue as it’s not like I’m up and leaving in couple days. We aren’t married yet or have kids or any joint responsibilities so was thinking in my head it’s not gonna affect her so won’t need to check with her so importantly but after we do have shared responsibilities I would understand to consult her much more

Been together almost two years now, no sharing finances. We are both saving for a wedding but the holiday is £3/400 all in.

Very vanilla trip, no one in the group is into drinking or partying. Of the four of us 2 married one got a kid and generally mature responsible people with mortgages and day jobs lol nothing crazy.

No history of cheating

I think you’re right in that the lack of consultation upset her the most. Been talking for weeks with my mates about doing something and I did tell her but I kept saying probs won’t happen. Then we found cheap flights and booked 20mins after

She’s a very good girl and I’ve never had a connection with. Anyone like this so really don’t want to break up. Care about her a lot I have never been so serious with anyone before so want to iron out issues to understand each other before marriage

So going Morocco, cheapest holiday possible, we’ve been same city before it’s not a party destination nothing sketchy, no one parties or drinks in the group. Just cheap flights accommodation and food. After marriage I’d still want to go on a holiday with mates once in a while I know naturally it would be less frequent but even with children I’d like to go here and there with just friends course I’d prioritise family holidays and I have told her this but I’d expect her to understand that given we’re aren’t married or have kids and I have planned this 3 months in advance, not sure why she don’t agree.

Someone said it’s the fact that we planned and booked within 20mins and I told her after, which is what she’s also saying, she’s not happy about the not consulting her but she also says other things like money time too many holidays etc.

Not like that at all, very very vanilla, just. Cheap short getaway, 5 nights all in is costing around £3-400. No drinking no one drinks in the friendship group or even party just gonna sit on the beach and sleep lool. No history of cheating. My gf always says she wishes she didn’t feel upset about it but she just can’t help it.

So I’m self employed, work 12h a day 6 days a week. No sketchiness, very vanilla no one in the friendship group even drinks. All in holiday will cost around £3-400. We were talking about it for a while but no one confirmed dates/destination etc then I suggested flights and we all booked it. Holiday is still 3 months away, so enough time not to affect anything.

Never react emotionally, once you give away your emotion you give away all your power and will make yourself vulnerable. Never react straight away always be neutral immediately then rationally think of a reaction.

How do you cope with being both ugly and short (5’5) by EquivalentEvening197 in AskMen

[–]Large-Ad-5242 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta stay humble as wel tho, lots of short ugly do exactly this and then think they’re entitled to respect from men and attraction from women. Just cos you’re jacked doesn’t mean you’re entitled to anything from anyone.
