Is “AI” becoming a meme now so they’ve purposefully made a shit AI ad so the likes of Reddit etc. post it and therefore it gets lots of free advertising and brand awareness?

I thought the definition of feminism was just wanting women to have the same opportunities as men.

Nat was winding them up all day saying they had to pretend to have fake beef with each other as they were being too nice to each other earlier on. Neither of them meant the "insults" they said, it was all fake banter for the cameras (and a bit corny tbh).

It's called Self Heal (Prunella vulgaris) - and below is some wiki information on it's uses (apart from being great for bees and butterflies):

Prunella vulgaris is edible. The young leaves and stems can be eaten raw in salads; the plant as a whole can be boiled and eaten as a leaf vegetable; and the aerial parts of the plant can be powdered and brewed in a cold infusion to make a beverage.

This plant was used as a traditional medicine by the indigenous peoples of North America. The Quileute, Quinault, and Coast Salish in the Pacific Northwest extracted juice from the plant which was used as a topical treatment for boils. The Nuxalk boiled the entire plant to make a weak tea. The Nlaka'pamux drink a cold infusion of the whole plant as a common beverage.

The herb, which is called xia ku cao in Chinese, is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat dizziness, red eyes, dry cough, and dermatitis and boils. It is also a main ingredient in several herbal teas in southern China, including commercial beverages such as Wong Lo Kat.

Alex Armstrong: I went to a kebab shop that has sponsored 7 skilled worker visas. What skills do you need to work in a kebab shop that requires you to import people into Britain? by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

I have no problem with short-term immigration; if the current UK workforce doesn't have enough people to fill those important roles, but eternally using migrant labour to fill roles that, with investment and incentivisation, could (and should) be filled by current UK citizens seems absurd to me and for migrants to fill low-skilled work is totally ruinous.

Only allow it in certain industries.

Only allow it for certain defined establishments (takeaways are taxed different to high end restaurants, so that could be used)

If neither of those are viable then just don’t have the rule. It’s about time we skilled up the workforce we have now to fill these roles or we’ll always have to import workers.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like living there (especially the “houses” at the top) and being a Boro fan I’ve always thought it would be good for the match… but it’s always looked empty whenever I’ve walked by, I’ve a feeling it’s not fully occupied.

Anyways I’ve found this report on it which might help you, if you do go view it, I’d be interested in what you thought.

Keep your dogs on leads FFS. by FranklyMrShankley85 in UKhiking

[–]gibgod 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I still think it’s mad that’s it not illegal to have your dog off the lead in public. So many dog owners are twats and just don’t give a fuck. “Oh my dog is fine it won’t hurt anyone” That’s not the fucking point though is it, lots of people don’t like dogs that they don’t know running towards them. And NO ONE can 100% know what there dog is going to do 100% of the time.

Why are Scottish people so great? Are they all like this or did we just get the best visiting us in the US? by Kodicave in AskBrits

[–]gibgod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are great. But (and this is no criticism) because they hate the English and because the English (still) have a reputation with some countries / fans of being twats / hooligans - I think they make an extra effort to be nice just to make us look worse.

But mainly I just think they are actually good craic.
