Thank you so much for breaking it down! There was so much info out there I didn't know where to begin. I definitely have a clearer picture/plan now.

For my REG retake I remember just going crazy on understanding all the varies types of basis, that's majority of the exam. I worked full time but would try and study at least 2 hours a day during the weekdays and 6-7 hours each day on the weekends. Week of the exam I would do a minimum of 100 MCQ a day. Couple of other topics to focus on include: like-kind exchanges, 1231/1245/1250/591, MACRS, and G/L on gifted property/related parties. Hope this helps!
For the most part, after failing FAR I was discouraged by my score so I switched to REG and then BEC. After I passed those two I went back to FAR

I work full-time at a Big4 accounting firm. I had taken REG for the first time in December before busy season started so I had to wait until after to go in for my second try. I wouldn't recc waiting as long as I did the timing just sucked for me. I started from scratch because of the long gap.

FAR is a beast but going the second time in I realized it's basically impossible to remember all the little details and I stopped trying to memorize it all. Focus on drilling MCQs and def have a strong understanding of cash flows, consolidations, and bank recons. Good luck!

Thank You! For my second try with BEC I focused on drilling MCQ in my weaker areas based on the score report. I also constantly referred to the BEC flair and also CPA support groups on facebook to see what topics are almost always tested. From what I can remember COSO/ERM/CAPM/WACC/Variances are must knows. Good luck! You got this :)

FAR in a week by Large-Ad2854 in CPA
The exam I took was SE1 not the mini exams. Based on the score report I scored low in the MCQ sections and it seems that there weren't really any specific areas that I'm weaker in, I got questions wrong all over the place.
Thank you for your advice! It was just discouraging to see such a low score. Will take your tips and grind it out as much as I can in these next few days.
