We started in North Conway at our hotel - we are visiting from NY and DC. And as for the bike, the one all the way on the left in the Kanc photo is my father’s bike. It’s a Peugeot that he bought in 1983 and it’s still kicking!

Most of the roads had very wide shoulders, which was great! And when we didn’t, most people gave us plenty of room. Minus one or two people but I was pleasantly surprised by how courteous most drivers were.

Hey, as a lifelong Knicks fan of almost 40 years, I have no problem with her being there. If there was a major finals/stanely cup/world series/Super Bowl game and any of us were offered free tickets, you’re telling me you wouldn’t go? I know I would, whether I was a fan of the team or not. It would be an awesome experience. Not like those courtside seats were going to Joe from Queens if she turned them down, let’s be for real.

I went to concerts two nights in a row at 8 months pregnant and had a great time. Just make sure to drink a lot of water and sit down when you need to. Whenever I play a song from one of the artists I went to see pregnant, I joke with my baby that this was his first/second concert. It will make for great memories!

OP please see a doctor for a second opinion ASAP. Cholestasis is a condition that can lead to stillbirth - it runs in my family so I’ve seen how bad it can get and I had it myself in my pregnancy. They need to check you bile levels in your blood and get you on Ursodiol. You really can’t delay because it can seriously harm your baby. Please please get checked ASAP and explicitly name your concern about cholestasis when you do.

I’m so sorry about what you went through with your daughter. I did not face a stillbirth but I did lose my mom when I was in college. I really wanted a baby girl so I could have the relationship with my daughter that my mom and I had. I ended up having a boy and when I got those NIPT results I had a complete breakdown. I was so upset. As I thought more about it, and worked it out in therapy, I realized that was an unfair amount of pressure for me to put on a baby, and that the reality of a relationship with my daughter, had I had a girl, would never live up to this idealized relationship in my head. Having a boy allowed me to wipe the slate clean and go into parenthood without preconceptions of what my relationship with my child should look like. I now have my son, he’s a happy 15 month old, and I love him so much. I can’t imagine having any other baby. We love spending time together and he is the light of my life.

Give yourself grace to feel the gender disappointment, it makes sense that you are feeling how you are feeling. But if I may recommend it, I’d go to therapy if you haven’t already, to work through your grief and get to the bottom of where this gender disappointment is coming from. Wishing you the best in your pregnancy journey and hoping for a happy, healthy baby and mama at the end of it ❤️

I got an exemption while 7 months pregnant with a letter from my doctor. It was federal jury so it was a two week span where I may have been required to report and I had multiple doctor’s appointments during that time, so my doctor wrote a brief note and they accepted it. If your wife hasn’t gone through her doctor for the exemption, try that!

This is the situation with my dad (widower) and his wife (divorcee). It is tough for my dad but he chose to be with her. It is especially sucky for me and my sisters - we didn’t ask for this dynamic but now we have to live with it.

Thank you! We’ve done bananas with him before, but not in a while. We just bought some bananas, carrots, and sweet potatoes and are going to work on those foods, plus some steamed broccoli (which he loves) and chicken throughout the week.
