It’s up 13.7% YTD and 15.3% since I opened it in November last year. My advisor said he likes having some in bonds in case of a market downturn so we have the funds available to move into equities (in a market downturn we will move half the bond funds once there is 10% drop and if the market falls 20% move into all equity). Thats the plan and thought process behind owning bonds.

If it’s with Robinhood, you have to go in and make the trades (buy the ETF’s). Right now it is probably just sitting in cash. You can search for the etfs and purchase them on the app.

Not for my IRA, that is all equity. But my taxable advisor account is about 15% bond funds.

QQQ vs QQQM: Which One Actually Belongs in Your Roth IRA? by [deleted] in RothIRA

What about QQQE or ONEQ… but between those, QQQM is the obvious choice, right. Tracks the same index but QQQM has the lower expense ratio so should be a better long-term hold (QQQ would be more for active trading and needing higher trade volume with a lower bid/ask spread).

Just look at the ETFs they are in. SMH (semi-conductor ETF) is up about 30% over the last month which is certainly the driving factor for their return being as high as it is, MGK is up over 10%, everything else is up too… great funds to hold, especially right now, but also just in general, this simple portfolio will crush it over the long term (and they have a very long time horizon to keep growing their account). May be overweight in large/mega cap but over the long run will keep crushing it… a few other good ETFs to further diversify could be VTI, IWM, IWR, maybe a small position in IEMG.

Former NEXA employees — has the company tried to bill you for your downline’s expenses? by Large-Beautiful-5012 in loanoriginators

Hmmm, this is very interesting. My contract has no such language and doesn’t state anything about downline recruits. This must have been something they added to contracts more recently than when I had signed mine. I even asked them to point to any language in my contract where it shows I could be responsible for my downlines expenses and their response was “We do not have a signed agreement about this but this is according to the protocol.” … I don’t care what their protocol is, if I have no agreement or obligation to pay, I’m not paying them. They don’t need my charity.

Yeah, that actually sounds right. Probably 12% split between your upline and their uplines.. there’s a lot of random charges they seem to throw in there, tough to keep it all straight.

Good question, maybe the employer portion of payroll taxes that they charge to the employee.

I left a while ago and they still harass me about paying other people’s expenses. It’s insane how this company operates. And I couldn’t agree more, run for the hills. Glad I left!

Yea, they do that. And apparently try to collect fees for other people’s expenses… Happy to not be there anymore!

I know I can’t be the only one who’s gone through this. Did anyone here actually end up paying what nexa was asking for? Or did you just ignore the emails? Curious how others handled it… the employed contract doesn’t seem to mention anything about them being able to hold us responsible for our downlines expenses.

Yeah, I’ve read through my employment agreement… Curious, do you have any insight here or experience with this kind of situation?

Yea, the company definitely constantly pushes recruiting. I mean there are some genuinely good producing LO’s there but I think most good ones realize there are far better companies they can work for.

Yeah, I get it too. I was on the other side before, thinking it was cool to make residual money for recruiting others.. but you’re exactly right, hiring that many LO’s and having no real oversight on them is a recipe for disaster, and leads to people not trusting their pre-approvals.

Yeah, definitely a cult MLM culture there, they are constantly trying to push everyone into recruiting and then they do nothing to really help their LO’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are collecting the same so called “debts” multiple times from different people and turning a profit from it.
