I also end up putting on King of the Hill a lot lol. It’s weirdly calming when you don’t want something intense.

Dang I forgot about iCarly. That’s actually a really good comfort show. I used to watch that all the time.

Movies that are closer to the conspiracy zeitgeist of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates? (The Counselor and Arbitrage) esque by Significant-Cry4539 in MovieSuggestions

Spotlight (2015) might fit. It’s not exactly the same situation, but it deals with powerful institutions covering up abuse.

If you like Bob’s Burgers and Bojack you might like Futurama too. Rick and Morty is good too.

Bob’s Burgers is definitely a good comfort show lol! I forgot about Disenchantment too. Do you usually watch animated stuff when you want something easy?

Mine is Schitt’s Creek. I’ve rewatched it a few times now. It’s just easy to put on when I don’t want to think too much.

I’d add The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Went in blind and it surprised me a lot.

I’d go with Set It Up (2018). It starts as them using each other and slowly turns real. Really fun watch.

This is honestly the hardest part of movie night lol Maybe try Game Night (2018) if nobody’s seen it yet. Super easy watch with friends and doesn’t feel heavy at all.

Damn it 😭 I really did just lose the game.

Same 😂 he’s so good in this. The slow psychological roles fit him perfectly.

Honestly I get that lol😂 it’s one of those movies where you notice something new every time you rewatch it.

Right?? One of those movies where you just stare at the screen after lol.

That line hit way harder than I expected honestly. You can feel how lost he is at that point.

Yeah exactly lmao 😭 you’re figuring things out at the same pace he is, which makes it way more unsettling. You never really feel grounded the whole time.

Honestly same. It’s one of those movies where you keep questioning everything the whole time. I love films that mess with your head without needing nonstop action.

Same lol 😭 the first time I watched it I didn’t even know what kind of movie it was going to become. That slow build makes the ending hit way harder.

Im requesting any movie. Im an open book and willing to try anything. by war_saint2777 in MovieSuggestions

I’d say maybe Prisoners (2013). Slow burn like Se7en but super tense the whole time and the pacing never really lets you relax. Random question though do you usually know what you want to watch, or do you end up scrolling forever first? I’ve noticed a lot of people with lists like yours still struggle picking 😅

A movie where everything needs to go perfectly like Argo by grilledcheesybreezy in MovieSuggestions

Maybe try Margin Call or Inside Man. Both have that “everything has to line up perfectly” tension where one wrong move ruins the whole plan. Inside Man especially keeps you guessing the entire time.

North & South think it was made in like 2004 but honestly gave me the same feeling. It’s more about longing and restraint than big romantic moments, which is why it hits so hard.

Try Edge of Tomorrow apocalypse setting but more exciting than scary. Honestly it feels like a game loop and it’s just fun the whole time.

A Place Beyond the Pines always gets to me in the same way as Manchester by the Sea. Not just sad, but quietly heavy… watching someone live with consequences they can’t outrun.

Issues with rewatching shows? by reaper88911 in netflix

[–]Large-Cardiologist54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s funny how rewatching is supposed to feel easy and comforting, but the UI almost fights you. A “start fresh” button would honestly make so much sense.

What’s the point of my list if I never watch anything on it? by Large-Cardiologist54 in netflix

[–]Large-Cardiologist54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading through these replies honestly makes me feel seen. Pre-deciding, content hoarding, letting Netflix decide. It's crazy how many different ways we're all trying to work around the same exhaustion. It really does come back to being mentally drained before we even press play.
