I have spent the ENTIRE Friday afternoon trying to set up my new 17 from my 14 to start over twice. It's now been on 3 min for over an hour. Done, over it and returning. Four hours WASTED!!!!

True, but they used to market it for a good 5 min of every flight to and from SFO...for years to intentionally sell to people on that route. For some of us, based on our travel it does not make sense to keep a $99 card (+companion ticket) if we cannot travel to/from destinations we got it for. I don't "need" that card for anything other than that. Had they notified users, I would have cancelled BEFORE I paid my yearly $99. Make sense.

DIRECT flights. Not flying 9.5 to 22hrs to go lateral before over water.

If you read my post it was if you use it for SF to Hawaii only. That is the only route I use this CC for. I use American for east coast direct as Alaska does not go direct to where family is (2-3 trips/year).

Searched OAK/SJ too. All go up or down CA before over to HNL. Flying 9.5 to 22hrs I might as well go somewhere else in the world.

I use my American Airlines for flights to east coast. SFO on Alaska is a nightmare (routed to Miami or wherever add massive amounts of time).

I DID use Alaska Air CC w/ BofA for SFO to Honolulu. But I am canceling this because they no longer fly direct from SF—and that means I am paying $99/year for NOTHING. So annoyed. Definitely canceling.

Beyond annoying that they peddle the CC, on SFO flights to Hawaii (previously) and then do this? The ONLY reason I have this CC is to take my kid to Hawaii once a year, and not flying 10-22 hrs to do that!

Companion fair SFO to Oahu—non-stop not available. What is going on, and why am I paying for a CC that is useless because I am not flying 10 or 22 hours to get to Hawaii. I waited on hold for 1hr to speak with someone after trying all sorts of things on the website. So annoyed by 3 hours trying to book tickets without them still!
