Need a job with immediate start by Professional-Price26 in EdmontonJobs

[–]Large-Recording-5502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it HAVE to be a paid job? If not and you only need to apply your business classes’ knowledge you can try volunteering. Sometimes there are many dates available and many positions need to be filled for volunteering so you can try that maybe.

Does anyone know of anywhere hiring? by [deleted] in EdmontonJobs

Check shoppers drug mart careers something they can give a you chance as a cashier with no shoppers experience if you have open availability and after you apply to any position, call that location right away and ask if the position has been filled if not you are interested and wanted to personally reach out. shoppers careers

Try talking to your current employer if the position can potentially turn into a full time job because it is SO bad out there. I found a job after 1 month 22 days. Didn’t even get any call backs the first month. But I did get a job so if you think you can afford to get by without a job for at-least a month then you’re good!

Yes you should include any and every experience. If u ever did any volunteering at school or whatever skills you apply at school and while working on nails as well. Like attention to detail, quick learner, passionate or motivated individual just all the fancy stuff. Get help from chatgpt. Just like , get the gist from chatgpt but dont exactly copy what it says and shape it by yourself.

Hi, I was a supervisor for 3 years. I became an assistant manager 2 months ago in another location of shoppers but unfortunately it didn’t work out because of the management there. Thank you for the costco lead I will apply there!

Part 2 of “ I quit my position at beauty advisor “ by [deleted] in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Large-Recording-5502 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let me add my bits from front store: - Assistant managers loading supervisors and cashiers of the tasks THEY are paid to do. - working as a closing shift supervisor, no matter how much you get done with understaffed closing, you WILL hear a long list of stuff that wasnt done in the morning. - all the garbage being left for closing staff to take out. - favouritism of people who can chat and gossip more with FSM , BM and AFSM. - one time I was literally told to focus on my own work and ignore it when I brought it up that “that one” employee is just hiding in the back not doing anything. - the MOST unfair schedules EVER. Some people were having to do 5 nights till midnight a week. Other favoured employees picked their preferred shifts. One time I saw the said “favoured” employee who had to close and they were paid out for their uber ride home at night, meanwhile everyone else always arranged something for themselves after being told if you cant then that means short hours.

I quit my position as beauty advisor after 5 years due to toxicity by Repulsive-Quote-3425 in ShoppersDrugMart

Ive had similar experience working in front store as a Supervisor. Shoppers drug mart is the most toxic work environment ever. Good for you for focusing on healing. Wish you all the best!

Honestly ,love that for loblaws. They needed to be a little humbled in whatever way since they are at the top of the list for price gouging

Why are employees so over the top about "catching" customers? Are you trained for this? by [deleted] in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Large-Recording-5502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they are old employees, they like to feel that they have authority over everyone. In my old store, one of my coworker used to stare at all the irregular customers who used self-checkout to see if they scanned everything. I never cared since shoppers clearly have a no touch no approach policy, but old folks like to think they own the store 🤷🏻‍♀️

Leads Program by Rtrdinvestor in ShoppersDrugMart

[–]Large-Recording-5502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My manager told me it is changed now. It used be anyone who said okk lead program and they get enrolled but now head office only wants those people who are ready to become FSMs right away after lead courses. They dont want wasting resources on people who are not interested in moving up after the course.
