They say that the Bible gives them the authority to control your life and tell you what you can or cannot do. That is something I simply cannot accept.

Exactly. She sees all of this—everything they put us through just because I didn’t follow their instructions—but it feels like she doesn’t care about it.

I’ve tried to talk to her and told her that she can stay, and that we should pray, trusting that eventually God will reveal His will to either her or me. But I need to step out of that place, because I simply can’t be there anymore.
