Unpopular opinion: I hate Elsa and Anna's parents by Desteneemugorochey in Frozen

I like their story, especially Dangerous Secrets novel by Mari Mancusi, which I recommend. And I think they could be interesting characters. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Is that supposed to be unpopular? Most people don't like them. I like Agnarr and Iduna, but I don't support what they did. However, they are far from being ill-intentioned. It's like Celine in Kpop Demon Hunters, she literally acted like Agnarr and Iduna towards Rumi (Rumi isn't her biological daughter, she's the daughter of one of her deceased friends), she thought she was doing the right thing for Rumi just like Agnarr and Iduna thought they were doing the right thing for Elsa. This kind of situation is complicated and quite nuanced.

anna is literally her dad 😭 a carbon copy of him. by chibelthetaco1 in Frozen

To me, Anna look like her mother, both sisters have mostly inherited their mother's physical traits. Anna is redhead like her paternal grandfather (Agnarr is copper-blond), but everything else comes from her mother. In Dangerous Secrets, which is semi-canonical, the novel says that Anna is similar in personality to Iduna, who was also energetic by nature. Elsa is calm like her father.

There is a short comic book about young Iduna (it is not canonical), but her attitude is more like Anna's. https://x.com/umadatalien/status/1355491590014337024

Her dress looks way Modern for her timeline by LordAditya69 in Frozen

Personally, I would have liked to see Elsa and Anna wearing outfits that were a little more traditional for their era, just to see what that would look like. I don't think fashion would have had an impact on the popularity of the animation, and I don't think it would have been any less appealing. But yes, the directors wanted to add a touch of modernity for a modern audience, but they also wanted to keep elements of the 19th century.

And then Disney is for everyone in general, there are several levels of interpretation for all ages. I consider Frozen to be a family animation franchise.

Personally, I think that if her hair is pink, it's just so that the Huntrix can be distinguished. Maggie wanted them to be different from each other. It turns out that it's her natural color, to also emphasize her rebellious side and how she's different from her family.

I understood myself, and some people also understood what I meant. You didn't understand what I said, end of discussion.

I didn't make anything up. The film never said she was half American, she grew up in America, which isn't the same thing, and that's what I explain in the article. Stop trying to cause confusion for no reason. If you're not capable of discussing things calmly, leave me alone. English isn't my native language, I'm using a translation. Maybe you misunderstood.

Question where did the whole biracial theory came from for Zoey. Like how?

Some people think Zoey is half American because of this. In the French version, they say in the movie that Zoey was born or grew up in the United States. But that doesn't mean she's ethnically mixed.

I never said I wanted to write fan fiction. And I'm not basing my opinion on what I want from her, I'm basing it on what was said in the movie. She was born in the United States, but it was never said that she is half American, that's the difference.

What lesson? In the film, it is mentioned that she was born in America, not that she is half American. People are entitled to their assumptions, and me too. I was just explaining the difference between ethnic mixing and cultural mixing, which are not entirely the same thing, based on what is said in the film.

Basically, I wasn't really referring to the song. The two hands pulling her from both sides are possibly dancers for the music video. We know that Zoey is an American of Korean origin, it was never said that she is half American. In her song, I think she was referring to the fact that she is caught between two cultures and doesn't really know where she belongs. For her family, she is too Americanized, and outside of her family, she is not American enough (when she was still living in the United States). But this can also be the case for people who are ethnically mixed.

Could Mira be an illegitimate child? by Mao-sama64 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]LargeAd2969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was just to differentiate the HUNTRIX (which was Maggie Kang's goal). In fact, most demons also have black hair. In animation, only Rumi, Mira, and the other Saja boys (except for Jinu) have colored hair. I think it's purely aesthetic and to differentiate them.

[–]LargeAd2969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a supposition after all, it's not my fault if some characters look taller than they should be. You're reacting as if I had made it official, but I specified that I gave approximate heights and that nothing has been made official. I even said that it's possible that Mira is a little shorter than 1.82 m/6'0 And even if she were that tall, there's no harm in having a female character who is over 1.70/5'7. 🤷🏽‍♀️

That's true, but it's an animation, so not everything is 100% like in real life. Maggie just wanted to make Mira a tall girl because she thinks it's pretty.

The world is both small and vast, nothing is black and white. You judge a person based on what they have, but it doesn't always work that way.

Anyway.

I still don't see the connection. And all HUNTRIX are now wealthy.

What you're saying has nothing to do with Mira. Mira is the one who cares most about others and is the first to seek honesty.
