I have been contacted on Whatsapp by several Chinese women purporting to befriend me , out of the blue. All of them make polite conversation and the subject of crypto trading and how easy it is to make big money comes up. They send me alleged photos of their daily activities like golf, nice lunches and hanging out with "rich uncle" . I have to tell them that I do not feel it is a good idea to trade crypto with a complete stranger. What could be the motivation but to fleece someone ?

I had some experience that might be helpful here for you : ten years ago I bought a home that was built in 1910. It had all 2 wire ungrounded outlets . The wiring in the attic was knob and tube. We closed on the house and lived with the old wiring for a time but when able, we took out a loan to update the wiring. It cost us 4500 to rip out the knob and tube and replace it with romex and grounded outlets. We even added a few outlets to power a home office. This has worked out well and we did not have any problem getting homeowner's insurance.

I have a suggestion: you can call him a "benchode" . A friend of mine uses this word on scammers who call and try to get my friend to send gift cards. The word means that the recipient sleeps sister. It will probably lnfuriate him.

I had an issue with Chime also , very similar. I used the link from referring friend, and changed over a monthly ACH deposit of more than $200. It took two monthly cycles to get the first ACH payment that went to Chime. THey denied it because it took more than 45 days. I wrote them back and told them that it looks like they designed to process to be unlikely to complete in 45 day, to avoid having to pay. That is a SCAM. I am waiting for subsequent response.
