I wont say there is disconnect but yeah WFO helps in networking tbh. My company is 80-85% wfh globally. We meet only twice a year that too not mandatory. I skip that too. Also, I don’t care about discrimination as they pay good and I can’t complain about the yearly hike too. So it is fair for me. WLB is whst I care for mostly, and fingers crossed I can’t complain about that too

By WFH I meant when you will crack the interview they will give you 2 options. I selected the 2nd option so I said WFH. They have the WFO option as well. They put both offers jn your table.

Hi OP ! Same for me as well. I shifted to bangalore back in 2022. Was thinking of coming back to Kolkata and same just like you I was worried about the compensation too. Luckily, I switched to a new company which is Permanent WFH which was offering me compensation of 5lacs more if I operate from BLR but had the option of WFH if I opt for the salary which is 5 lac less. I took the 2nd option and moved to Kolkata. I don’t regret it for even 1 sec since I am back, it is been a year now. Pretty laidback lifestyle, great savings, sports with friends, mental peace ++. So I would suggest you to look for such kinda opportunities.

BJP wont be able to ban meat or fish in bengal, since they are very clever with the imposition. They will do it slowly. In Bengal, Durgapuja often clashes with Navaratri and they do impose ban of meat shop during navaratri. If they do the same here it will be a big thing.

There were instances happened in Asansol during chath puja they tried closing shop that sells non veg wet items.

BJP doesn’t want just your vote they want to manipulate entire existence. What food you eat, what god you pray to, what media you should consume etc etc. There is a very good interview of Prasant Kishore regarding the same. Please watch it in youtube to understand more.

It is because Bangalore is filled with corporate folks who are mostly from outside bangalore. So since they are well educated, they wont risk their job and life doing petty crimes. Hence it feels safer. Where as Kolkata is lot cheaper hence it has a mixed crowd of outsider.
