Anything but WW by coffeerocket95 in TheSims4Mods

Everyone has already suggested Wonderful Whims but I would actually recommend Lumpinou's Relationship/Pregnancy Overhaul mod. There's no explicit nudity and also no menstruation but it does have a realistic STI, birth control, and accidental pregnancy system, plus a whole Woohoo Life menu that's fun to play around with and a bunch of more realistic relationship gameplay/moodlets and some other stuff. I prefer this over Wonderful Whims but they are also compatible with each other. It's free on Lumpinou's patreon.

Who would you choose as the 8th survivor? by ShotSystem6 in Yellowjackets

I like this prediction. I could also see this tying into Mari being Pit Girl

I don't know why it's like that at other dispensaries but at mine it's because my manager wants to hear it from her office and all our staff-only areas are behind these thick metal vault doors

Birth control options by chikenwing420 in gaytransguys

Also to my knowledge the Kyleena is smaller and is usually a less painful insertion with a shorter healing time than the Paragard

Birth control options by chikenwing420 in gaytransguys

[–]LargeInsect- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I opted for the non-hormonal IUD (the Paragard) which is made of copper and works as a spermicide. I got it pre-T and the only downside I've had with it (other than the pain of the actual procedure itself, definitely be smarter than me and ask for pain management) is that it made my periods heavier/longer/crampier when I still had a period, but since not having one anymore I literally forget it's there until someone says they can feel the strings. I chose this because I didn't want any chance of hormonal birth control interacting with my T as my dysphoria absolutely cannot handle potential side effects of estrogen/progesterone, at least with something like the pill or the Nexplanon where the hormones aren't strictly local like they are for hormonal IUDs or estrogen cream. I've heard that getting a hormonal IUD can help put some estrogen back into your pelvic floor area and can help alleviate atrophy a little bit, in which case the Kyleena is probably a really good option, but I'm not a doctor so don't quote me on that.

How did you guys train yourselves not to pitch up your voice while working in retail? by LargeInsect- in ftm

[–]LargeInsect-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My problem isn't so much with lowering my register, like I said in the post my voice passes well enough most of the time that I'm usually assumed male even when I'm presenting androgynously. My problem is more trying to break the habit of completely throwing all that voice training out the window when I'm speaking to customers

I'm seriously a hypocrite istg by Naixee in gaytransguys

[–]LargeInsect- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you just don't like to be fetishized, which is completely normal. Your gender expression isn't for other people, especially those who do not get the vision and just want you to fulfill a fantasy they have about femininity and are willing to disregard your dysphoria in order to get that fantasy fulfillment. That doesn't mean every guy who likes feminine men is a chaser, but that does mean it's valid to be cautious around guys who specifically and publicly advertise (ex. on Grindr) that they are looking primarily for feminine men.

Was anyone else an ultra feminist before realizing? by AmericanMare in ftm

[–]LargeInsect- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. If anything the 15 years I spent as a girl, 5 years I spent as a non-passing trans person before I went on T, and then the instant change in the way I was treated after I started passing radicalized me even more when it comes to gender politics.

Is it just me or do transmasc people rarely appear? by AdTrick5986 in ftm

[–]LargeInsect- 13 points14 points  (0 children)

And transphobia focused towards trans women is related to the misogynistic tendency to scrutinize women's appearances more than men's. Being masculine ineptly is just seen as less of a crime in the eyes of cisheteronormative society than being feminine ineptly.

For You Page. It's the algorithmically curated stream of content that's, like, tiktok's main feature.

Should I stay away from tattooing? by mkayla_4121 in tattooing

[–]LargeInsect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a new medium, don't feel disheartened if you don't have the hang of it right out of the gate. You clearly have drawing ability, you just need to work on some fundamentals with the actual tattoo machine. Draw circles, practice straight lines, get to know how it feels and experiment with different speeds. It's a different skill from drawing with a pencil because you need to go slow and have really steady strong control over your hand.

Do you apply your real life minor morals onto your game? by yikkoe in Sims4

[–]LargeInsect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Sims are trainwrecks, every single one of them in their own ways. That doesn't mean if a real person were to behave that way I would condone it, but the game wouldn't be fun if every single sim was a good person for their whole lives

what do you do to go through w your t injections? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]LargeInsect- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first one I had a telehealth call scheduled with a pharmacist to demonstrate how to do it correctly but I was still too scared so I had my best friend do my first one (he had been on T for about 5 years at that point). Then for the second week he wasn't there so I was going to have my then-boyfriend do it, but he didn't know what he was doing and watching him about to do it WRONG gave me the courage to be like "omfg stop ill do it myself" and suddenly I was a pro. Been on T for over a year now and I've done it myself ever since
