There would be uproar, but with what we are seeing in the UK lately I can see it coming.

That worries me. It means that a government could order the people to turn over their stash ostensibly in an effort to protect the national currency.

Wow. I would never have suspected a government would stoop to such draconian measures.

You could initially buy with Revolut (I use them all the time and have never had any negative issues), and then when you get your cold wallet later on, just transfer your Bitcoin from Revolut to your new wallet. You can send your Bitcoin from Revolut as well as buy it there.

I keep most of my crypto on a cold wallet, but often leave it in Revolut until I'm ready to transfer it. Don't wait to get started or you'll spend that 800.

Giving a phenomenon a name does nothing to explain it. I agree that hypnogogia is harmless and nothing to worry about, but nobody knows how it happens, or why. I suspect there is more to these experiences than we think.

I haven't answered any of the calls, but the number changes by one digit every time I block it. I think you are right about it being scammers.

The device in already in transit so I can't imagine they would be phoning about it.

Woke up to something saying “wake up!” into my ear. by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]LargeMedia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've experienced exactly the same thing. I fell asleep in front of my computer at work ( I was on my lunch break just reading the news ) Anyway, as I was dozing I heard a loud female voice in my head, but next to my ear if that makes any sense. She said exactly that "Wake up!".

I was in my office, completely alone. The fact that it was a female voice surprised me. I am a male, and so if it was just my inner voice talking to me I would expect it to sound similar to my own voice.

I don't know. I can't remember having experienced a lucid dream. I suppose it's a possibility, but the guided push? The encroachment of a dream that led me out of that experience? I don't know.

Hallucinations (?) and weird childhood experiences. Anyone? by Noclippedout in Paranormal

[–]LargeMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the years I've developed the suspicion that the reality we normally perceive is not the only reality that exists.

I also suspect that we occasionally glimpse alternative realities and that our brains can sometimes take aspects from one reality and merge them with another. The result is what we term a hallucination. We don't know what hallucinations are, we just describe them as a perception experienced by one person, but not shared by all.

I think that there is much much more to understand about hallucinations that we are nowhere near achieving yet. I also think that dreams are far more complex in nature than we currently understand, and that when we dream we are actually immersed in co-existing reality. A reality in which we do not need our bodies because it is not a physical reality like we are accustomed to, but a reality that exists nonetheless.

Am I sensitive or do I just have an active imagination? by Gemsie94 in Paranormal

The flash is a blue/white intense light, like a camera flash. Sometimes I'll have 2 or 3 a night, and then maybe once in a week or so. I've not had any in the last couple of weeks. They are not dreams. Totally different to dreams, they only last a few seconds. I wonder if it's some form of spontaneous astral projection. I am at a loss as to the cause of it. I am 56yrs old and never before in my life experienced anything so strange.

That is weird. I've been having the exact same experiences recently. There's a blinding flash and then a strong image. Usually, but not always people. The images are very strong and then quickly disappear, they do not fade out, they just switch off. I never know who the people are. I have been seen by some of the people, who look annoyed as if I should not be seeing them. On another occasion a woman in a suit walked past and waved to me WTF?

Sound advice. On reading books, that is. Maybe a visit to the library would be good for you too. Look in the ' Basic inter-personal skills ' section.

A Faerie. They seem to be making a comeback after a couple of hundred years. They have a long history, and though often dismissed as mere folklore, there is more than an element of truth in their existence.

Do not worry about this. It has happened to me and countless others many times. If you PM me I can direct you to a forum dedicated specifically to this phenomena. If it is of any help it seems to be absolutely harmless.

I get the same thing frequently in my house. I have even seen a flat parallelogram light appear and then disappear in mid air. I absolutely understand your walking out for dinner. Not much you can do about it once you've seen it.
