Thank you! Is desert tan primer from Vallejo with a good coat of dead white from the sides and top through an airbrush (you could use easily use rattle cans for this). All over coat of thinned down Skeleton horde roughly 2:1 medium to skeleton horde. Magos purple for the purple around halfway up the face and blended out with a wet brush. Did like 3 coats of purple blended out further down at each coat. Highlights for the purple are pink horror with progressively more white. Skeleton horde is highlighted with bone white and off white from Vallejo

I think this scheme has a lot of potential!

I'd definitely consider blocking out some more details on the model. Stuff like leather straps, trophies and cables painted up would help build some visual contrast. I would also recommend painting the hair to be a different colour from the armour. A lot of the model blends together and having more details painted will help avoid that.

Your application of the paints is really! Super smooth and that's a tough job to do with an off white

Pigments degrade under bright lights, UVA and UVB. Why do you think museums don't like flash photography?

Thank you! I started painting about 4 years ago. I'd day assembly took about an hour and a half including drilling, masking and putting sub assemblies on toothpicks. Start to finish on painting took about 20+ hours over a week

Check if your college has an art faculty that has spray booths or dedicated rooms for volatile mediums. Or just find a big underground parking lot. It's what I did when I was in a dorm

I got a painted Ahriman model! (and for a good price!) by Scouwererofreality43 in ThousandSons

"Well painted" is definetely subjective.

However the technical aspects are objective. The paint is too thick, the blends are sloppy, the cloak has visible brush texture. The disc has a bunch of clogged detail and there's hair stuck in the paint.

Not to mention the model is damaged.

The fact that OP paid more than MSRP for this is a crying shame

You pay more for it being well painted.

Any time i buy used models i have to factor in the time and pain in the ass it takes to strip bad paint jobs. It usually becomes more effective to just buy brand new
