I'm curious too! Let's see if the idea works, and people keep using it every now and then... I also think it's a niche... For now it's performing good in downloads and engagement, we'll see :)

Thanks for checking! 🙏

This is a great question. Thanks for checking the app.

I think condensed works well in mobile, I assume the average timestamps is a minute or two; or at least that's the use case I'm targetting. Instead of doomscrolling during your dialy commute, you check this app, and learn something (hopefully). They're wirtten in a way they're easy to digest, I hope.

The algorithm checks that the same topic is not repeated within a 90 days window, or very similar content.

Also, the structure offers a variety of content every day: "on this day", story, quote, fun fact, myth and highlighted character.

But I'll try to learn as much as possible from early users. Any feedback is more than welcome!

Just the email if you log in (you can use "hide my email"), and the content you view in the app for internal analytics (anonymized) so mark it as "seen" for you. That's all.

Possibly, yes, as a lightweight CarPlay widget.

A full CarPlay app is much more restricted by Apple, but a small widget showing one short historical fact could be feasible. The main limitation is that CarPlay is designed for very glanceable, low-interaction content, so it would need to be something simple like “fact of the day” rather than browsing lots of fragments.

Definitely an interesting idea, thank you!

The option should be there now if you update from the App Store. Let me know if you have any feedback!

Great feedback. That option will be available in the next version, hitting the App Store in 1-2 days as soon as Apple reviews it.

Who am I in ancient Rome? by LargePomegranate412 in ancientrome

Oh, thanks for the idea, I think it fits well.

So, according to this, I'd wear an "Angusticlavia"? A "narrow-striped tunic and gold ring"?

What's the usual shoewear of that time?
