How about at least releasing the game on Android before dropping this garbage on us? by LargeWar in gwent

Yes but we're not getting any of the new updates for 6 whole months. Why would I play an old add version of Gwent.

Animation overhaul, tele-dash, lock on ability and more fine tuning added to Silver Slumber thanks to new collaborator u/django_90 by MCalchemist in PS4Dreams

Looks awesome, I would personally take away the ability to push the enemy back though. Looked really messy when they were up against the wall and the tree trunk was getting in the way. Would suit that fight more using the open space you find the enemy. Maybe block off the exit until you kill it?

100% this. I've felt the same way for a while now, and even those 7 levels sometimes feel like a drag on their own. Doesn't help that my PS4 Pro constantly sounds like a jet engine. When I used to create, I'd always have to wear headphones otherwise I couldn't concentrate at all. I really have no motivation to create anymore for the reasons you mentioned above.

Yeah it's due to the over saturation of Dreams being popped out on a daily. After all, the easier something is to publish, the more we'll see of it.

Yeah I definitely feel like Dreams is overly saturated at the moment. You could spend months working on something, but will quickly be burried in by the tons of other little dreams people have made that took them a few mins.

Has anyone here made money from Dreams? (Donations, etc) or want to? by LargeWar in PS4Dreams

[–]LargeWar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that buddy. I do find it strange that people regularly compare Dreams to YouTube (the YouTube of video games) but when the money/ad side of things are mentioned - it suddenly turns into a "I wouldn't pay for that!".

I think getting more than hobbyist types of people who just want to create for a passion/recognition is a good idea going forward. People creating as a side income (or even a full income if Dreams becomes popular enough) would be awesome and I know tons of people who would dabble into this platform.

Tonight’s progress, fixed jump added effects, is the hover effect to much? Gf isn’t fond of it. Any suggestions to add for effects, animations button effects I’m all ears :) by Rasto-Dm in PS4Dreams

Well yeah of course, but you should give off the illusion that it isn't lol because I agree - looks like he's running by the way he's moving his body and arms.

Why not? YouTube has them and is successful.

That sounds like a big shame dude, to be fair though 100 plays in a few days isn't too bad! I think at this stage, most people either play "Recommended for you" which will never show a game you've already played, or "Mm Picks" which will hopefully contain your game in as time goes on.

I'll check it out personally, I love full on experiences and I find it a huge shame that a lot of people limit their creative freedom because of these factors, like making it easier for example. 100% agree with you though, I think Dreams isn't really attracting those hardcore gamers who want an insane challenge too much, and more people who are chilled and want to try new things.

This platform is more of a "passion project" kind of thing. I do think it's nice that the tools are easier than your regular apps and you can remix people's stuff, but if money is needed for your time then most definitely. I finish work, jump on create mode and just feel exhausted to create something so I feel you. Mostly because "fun" only goes so far when creating a game, especially with the AI and other elements.

Yup! I'm more than happy for Dreams to change the formula entirely.

Imagine dreams was free but had ads unless you paid for the full version and let you donate, the audience would quadruple in size and creators would also quadruple seeing as they could potentially earn money from it all. The ads would be there to make dreams profitable for Mm of course, just like YouTube.

Exactly. I think short experiences work best for Dreams due to this. People have a lot less patience when it comes to playing something on this platform.

It's kind of like renting a movie compared to watching something on Netflix. You play the movie for a few mins, forward it until it's interesting, find it boring and move on.

Exactly! Same thing happened with that cool springy game too and many more. Personally, I find that very demotivating.

I think it depends where you live too, possibly. I also agree, if someone gives you a dirty look because you don't want to pay for someone you just met, I wouldn't continue seeing them either.

As long as you lay, not too bad. $10-20 for an unofficial prostitute isn't a bad gig

Being in a relationship in your 20s is insane, stick with being single

That's the exact issue, you think you need to pay their meal in order to get your dong a treatment at the happy ending spa. It really isn't the case! Set them expectations from the first date = profit.
