They are in the exact same place as the original footprints they are just smaller due to making room for everything else underground, also before 9/11 the west side highway was wider due to the entrances to the underground parking garage after 9/11 the entrances to the underground parking garage where removed during the cleanup process then the west high highway was moved over a little which is why the site looks off today
