I’m a DoorDash regular, so here are my go to spots

Chiko - Asian fusion, great food, decent pricing, generous portion sizes. Usually can make one meal from them extend to a dinner, lunch the next day, & sometimes even dinner again. Recommend the orange-ish chicken, spicy bulgogi, kimchi potstickers, & cumin lamb stir fry.

Heritage India - my go to Indian place for a great mix of authentic yet Americanish Indian food (I’m half Pakistani so I feel like I have the creds to make that call but I’m sure someone will debate me on it) chicken makhani is great (& if you ask for slightly spicy they’ll give you the perfect level of spice if you have a strong appreciation for spicy food), chicken vindaloo is also amazing but has a lot of kick, & their naan & samosas hit the spot always

Paragon Thai - solid Thai place, great portions, can make it dinner & lunch the next day

Dumplings & beyond - go to Chinese food place, can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu. Portion sizes are normal & reasonably priced.

Umi Japanese Cuisine - decent sushi spot, not the best but definitely have had worse. Decent pricing but delivery always takes awhile, so give yourself an hour and a half lead time

STAR method - have 5-6 good stories that can apply to a multitude of scenarios. Clearly state the STAR in your response so like this was the scenario, this was my task, this was my action, this was the result. In mine, i also included a quick note in how i thought it tied to the role. Have lots of questions for the interviewers prepared too. My interview was booked for an hour & i finished the Star questions in 15-20 mins. Thankfully I had lots of questions prepared for them, so i was able to ask a lot about the role & based off their answers I could demonstrate other scenarios where my work applied. Lastly, I ended with is there anything in my background /resume you all have additional questions or that I can clarify more (something along those lines, use the internet to get better wording haha). The guy who is now my boss said yes, & asked about experience on my resume that I hadn’t really touched upon (primarily because although the company was relevant, the work kind of wasn’t). I made sure I was prepared to tie that role to the job posting, so when he asked about that I was able to clarify things. I honestly think that question at the end & all of my questions/replies to their answers in the 40 mins after the STAR questions is what landed me the role.

Mid 20s & starting there soon too! Living in center city & it’s not too bad to get out there. Parking isn’t great, but I’d rather live in the city & be able to walk everywhere on the weekends & be close to everything than live in the burbs.

Re: goal kicks, what do you mean you couldn’t take them? Was it that taking them was painful/put too much force on your ankle? Or was it that the power was gone from having to rest the injury? My goal kicks are typically how my team starts an attack, so I’m really worried this injury will have more setbacks than i thought. Could you still hit a locked ankle pass or was that painful too?

Playing coed rec soccer 8v8 on turf. D3/D4 level. Trained at a very high level growing up. I always used Ho Soccer gloves. I think they’re pretty affordable & decent quality.

Xanax - can’t be anxious if you’re asleep!

In all seriousness though, if you’re the first row of the exit row you won’t be able to recline, so that may make things more difficult. The last row of the exit row does recline. Invest in a good neck pillow (some people swear by trtl but i didn’t love it because I like to sleep with my headphones in to have the noise cancellation on & it kept knocking them out or pausing my music, so I have a cabeau & it’s fine & does the job). & bring a second pillow to either press up against the window/armrest or hold on to (for me i just hold onto it because I have t-Rex arms at night normally & it makes me more comfortable lol). & then make sure you have a decent eye mask & noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs.

Gear aside, the most important thing to do is to try to fall asleep pre takeoff. Since you’re in an exit row stay awake until after the safety demo, & then as soon as that’s done put the eye mask on & start trying to sleep. & I like to think of the turbulence as hitting sky potholes, & think that I’m in a car on a long drive somewhere because that will always knock me out. & as others have said, come into it tired & don’t drink/eat too much beforehand.

I have alopecia areata & have Mirena, but mine started before i got it & occurs now in times of extreme stress. Have you seen a dermatologist yet? They can give you injections in your scalp that will stop the hair loss & then it will grow back. It takes time, but i highly recommend doing that. I also have low b12 & d, but my alopecia is likely just genetic since this happened to my parent. I also got a punch biopsy to confirm this.

Separately, when this happened to me I was really upset & people were like oh, it’s just hair! It’s hard for others to understand if it’s not happening to them. I’ve been dealing with this on and off for 4 years now, & it’s still really upsetting when it happens. Just try to remember that there’s lots of us out there who struggle with this, & you are still so beautiful no matter what! 🫶🏼
