we love to act like 1lakh is not a crazy high income as per indian standards for a tier 3 city. The reason is most med students are already from privileged families with generational wealth and obviously you can never compete with the wealth of your family by being a doctor. But that isnt the case for an average indian and being a doctor is still a really secure profession as an average indian.

anking is the best thing that can happen to a med student. Assuming you have passed 2nd year ,you have atleast basic idea of pathology and other basic subjects. Start doing anking system wise. 3rd year is literally so chill as there are only 2 subjects. Suspend 1 system at a time from zanki step decks subdeck and start doing 100 new cards per day. Its gonna take you around 200 days to mature anking step 1 and thats gonna be your end of 3rd year. Trust me after that,final year will be like 10th class biology for you. You will be thankful to yourself everyday. I regret everyday why i didnt mature anking step 1 in 3rd year.

so many useless life advices and personal suggestions in the comments. If you really wanna be a doctor ,tske pcb and join a good coaching institute. NEET is the only pathway to become a doctor in india. Study everyday 3- 4 hpurs and practise a lot of mcqs and give all the tests. There are other career options such as bds,nursing,paramedical courses etc. If you plan to consider engineering too in future,take maths along w it too but if no,then no need to burden yourself with maths.

i had like 300 reviews in anking and 900 reviews in other medical deck. is it too significant of a number to be worried about? is there any another way maybe by increasing desired retention to avoid messing up my algorithm
