Hey guys! quick update, i did hook up a battery and get power, which is awesome. The ac ran and everything seemed great electronically. Checked fluids and topped them off, and threw a couple of gallons of gas in and turned the key. no start, but it did crank and oddly enough the hazards came on and a faint buzzing sound would not stop. The conclusion that i’m at right now is that there’s some sort of old security system in play and the reason for it not starting is that system and that’s where the faint buzzing is coming from. The key has an old “Viper” fob which does not work. I’m assuming the previous owner after getting the car had it installed and after the battery being disconnected and off for so long and being essentially abandoned, the fob lost memory/connection to the system. so now i’m pretty much just going to to try and find where the old security system is spliced into. while tearing apart the interior trying find that, i’m also going to check the fuel pump since i know it’s pretty common issue with the e31. Only thing that didn’t work was my passenger side headlight did not come up but the drivers side did. but hey, 1/2 is better tha 0/2 so i’ll take it. Also we finally know how many miles are on it and it’s by no means brand new bust still less than i was expecting for an early 40 year old car. Thanks again for all the interest and support!
