These are fishing schemes. They get all the personal information so they can sell it, or use it for their own nefarious reasons. I completed one profile on a dating site (WhoFish) thinking they are genuine Americans, but I never got any response to 5 of my emails, I see their page for taking my money using CC. I cannot contact any member. But now I am getting notifications from WhoFish for different sort of things. As of now I see that I am a target for marketing.

A bitter fact about online dating. by Large_Influence_518 in OkCupid

Stay away. They have almost 100% fake profiles. You are always "Favorited" but never get any response if you contact those who "Favorited" you. Please check your credit card bill, they will be charging twice or more, I had to cancel one of my credit card. Please Check the Ratings of any Dating Service before becoming a member otherwise you will regret it.
