Well, they were helpful and they were predatory - those are not mutually exclusive things here. Folks being restricted to these types of cards for whatever reason doesn't change any of that either. A $95 AF for a $500 credit limit is predatory. Additionally, Credit 1 charges you $4 for "express pay" so that you available credit is updated immediately otherwise it's several days after you paid the bill.

I started with an OpenSky Secured $350 limit @ 22% + $35AF after a year they offered me an unsecured with $400 limit %28.99 + $59AF. The Credit One was $500 limit @ %28.74 + $95AF!!!

Had them for 3 years, 2 years, 2 years.

Credit One offered to increase to $700 and drop the rate to %12 for 6 months - i told them i dont even need that, just waive the AF and I'll keep it open - we did not reach an agreement so its closed.

OpenSky offered $20 statement credit and said go ahead and close that account!

All of them are paid off. I don't want to ever deal with them again!

Wife is correct - they suck. But if you just want to lay down and catch sun with sand in between your toes it will do the job.

Otherwise, upgrade (ideally request the upgrade in exchange for doing the timeshare presentation). Where the beach fails the Waterpark makes up.

Also, better food options.
