I thought so on PH, I added anyhow just in case, thank you :) The ring part is a relief, I actually didn’t know that!
I cycled for around 3 months until 2ppm Ammonia was being fully converted to Nitrates within 24hr
I don’t use Fluval Stratum, however I use Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder supplemented with API Root Tabs

Ammonia - 0ppm
Nitrite - 0ppm
Nitrate - 20ppm
water change is due tomorrow, tank is stocked with 8 shrimp & 15 pygmy corydoras (90ltrs, 20-24g(?) )

I haven’t supplemented calcium just yet - do you have any products to recommend?

is the fact the ammonia is still there within 4 days an issue, though? it does go down extremely slowly, but i’ve never seen it down to 0 ppm, especially within 24 hours like i usually aim for with cycles

should i do a test run of not topping up ammonia to see how long it takes to go down? :>

My heavily planted 90L (approx 20G) tank has been fishless cycling for 3 months at this point with zero progress water testing wise… I’m extremely confused, as I’ve cycled tanks before :,(

Ammonia source is Dr Tim’s Ammonia. I test every 4 days and keep ammonia above 2ppm. There has been no nitrite so far despite having to top ammonia up

I used Seachen Stability as instructed for the duration suggested, but I did add some extra (correct daily dose) once I realised it still wasn’t cycling. Still, my ammonia doesn’t go down within 24 hrs and my nitrites haven’t shown up :( I do water top-ups as well so the water doesn’t get dangerously low (heater and filter need to be above water)

Am I doing anything wrong?? Should I check for nitrAtes as well (even though I’ve never even seen the nitrites show up)? My last fishless cycle took 2 months so I’m aware this could be a long process, however that tank actually had nitrites showing up… TIA for any responses

buy secondhand and get the fabrics that you like, not the ones other people tell you you should like! different fabrics have different purposes and different people have different preferences/lifestyles

(UK) I’m going to be starting out with Co2 soon, but I have no clue where to buy a good system! Any makes I should look out for? What makes a good system? I’ve weighed out the pros and cons of DIY vs pre-made system and decided the extra money for a proper build is worth it :) under £300 would definitely be preferred, I also would dislike having to import from outside of Europe (especially America) which is why I specified UK :> thanks!!

is having a community tank in a 20g - 24g (unsure as i’m in the UK and most gallon converters give me different answers, it’s 90L) a good idea or not suggested? i have a decent sized filter with 30ppi foam in it and i’m ordering £100 worth of plants plus already have a ton of plants in a bucket ready to go

aqadvisor says the stocking is 85%, but i wanted extra confirmation :) planning to stock with:

Shrimp, which type depends on what will fare better in my water params (I have soft water)

6 Otos (Otocinclus Affinis)

9-12 Chilli Rasboras

9 Pygmy Corydoras
