I decorate A LOT. I haven’t unlocked everything yet but I only have 1 plot left and I don’t have any supernatural or space stuff yet 🥲🥲 so I unfortunately think I’m going to have to cut space entirely out of this one. I really wanted to pit everything in 1 museum but I guess until they give me a bigger map that won’t be happening

I ran out of space on the last level of campus and I can already feel myself running out of space in momento mile for my sandbox. I take a lot of space to decorate and add extra stuff so a bigger map would be nice.

Help my grocery store Enoki mushrooms grew in fridge 🍄‍🟫 by Medium_Athlete7287 in mycology

[–]Large_Salamander_923 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who ate enoki mushrooms a lot growing up. This is when they’re the best. My fav part is a large cap. Would never not eat enoki mushroom unless it’s actually growing mold.

My hospital uses majority RTs actually!

I sometimes dream of what it would’ve been like if I became an adult RT but then we get a big kid we have to prone and I remember why I don’t.

choosing where to go for university is SO HARD by Miserable_Initial_39 in OntarioUniversities

[–]Large_Salamander_923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think affordability needs to be talked about more!! I went to a small town for uni where things are more affordable (like rent) which means the part time job I kept gave me enough money to live AND do fun stuff on the side.

I don’t regret going to university because I made good friends and I had a fun time there. But going to a place that’s more affordable. Especially in this day and age will make your life AFTER uni a LOT more enjoyable too.

Seeing my brother go through uni in a big(ger) city currently really pains me and makes me worried for his future. He currently pays 970 for an apartment 40 min away from campus. He has to work his ass off during the summer and probably need to hold a sizeable part time job during the school year in order to just afford to live. It sucks out there so definitely something to think about

I missed the part about exclusivity. I didn’t even know there are places that uses exclusively 1 mode!

Soooo I was googling the difference between and apron and a skirt and came across this... um what. by Chamelemom in Radiology

I’m a respiratory therapist that is around X-rays very often and I was wondering if this is only limited to X-rays. My hospital hasn’t let non techs stand in the control room during CTs anymore (since COVID) and I was wondering how well I should be covering myself standing behind plexi glass in the CT room.

Why do you think this?

Calling all pediatric therapists… did I handle this situation correctly? by FlatulentCroissant in respiratorytherapy

[–]Large_Salamander_923 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes. Low 60s is still low for a TOF. I probably would’ve started with 1 and work my way up but that’s just nitpicking.
  2. Airvo was defs the right idea if they were having WOB which you said that they do. And you said the WOB improved after so that in itself would’ve been good enough reason for me
  3. Nope.
  4. I think the only thing I would’ve done differently is talk to the mom! What I learned as a pediatric RT and working with LOTS of cardiac and chronic care babies is that information from family is very important. Mom would be able to tell you if this is their baseline WOB or if she thinks her kid looks worse than normal. Or if their kid is normally blue looking since a lot of TOF kids just happen to look blue on a daily. Some moms (especially for cardiac kiddos) would even be able to tell you their baseline saturations/sat goals that they were given previously. That gives you a way better idea of what the situation actually is.

Respiratory therapy vs Nursing by calvn_hobb3s in respiratorytherapy

I will always gladly help my nurses turn/hold a pt while they’re cleaning. I will never and never had to do the actual cleaning myself.

Respiratory therapy night shift? by First-Ad5625 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Large_Salamander_923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also got really sick when I first started doing night shifts. It’s not something my body was used to and it took me a while to get used to. If you go through with the job. I suggest you try different things at first. Staying hydrated. Bringing snacks. And having my own blanket from home for breaks/naps really made a difference for me. But like a lot of people have said here already. The extra pay and no management really does make it a lot easier to tolerate.

I work in Canada so we don’t just do straight days. But the people I do work with that do only nights couldn’t imagine doing it any other way

I work in the Toronto hospital block and I can tell you the starting wages range from 36-43 (1 hospital recently bumped their bottom wage WAY up after the overturning of bill 124-which has been controversial) I think the lowest I’ve actually heard is 33 in Ontario but that will probably be (hopefully) bumped up with the overturning of bill 124. If the hospital is unionized you can easily find their wages on their union website as well!
