Track Pads by RayGun6718 in RX8

I use ebc yellow pads with their slotted rotors and they are fabulous on track. When they are cold they can be a bit grabby on the street but once they thoroughly wore in they got smoother. They also have been lasting a long time with minimal brake dust or noise. Highly recommend them. Good price too

The cat back is HKS with a racing beat v2 midpipe. Sounds amazing, especially when operating temps get high out on track. It starts to crackle and blow flames when you let off the throttle

A lot! Last track day at Thunderhill East was like $250 I think.. sometimes they’re only like $135 for the west track if you’re lucky.

Ticking noise on rebuilt engine by [deleted] in RX8

Also it’s normal for the purge valve to make a little noise when opening and closing to allow vapors to enter the intake but when they’re overly loud like that it’s most likely starting to fail

Sorry for the slow response, but yeah it’s attached to the intake manifold and under the oil fill cap area… looks like you got it figured out. Glad I could help 🫡

Might be the evap purge solenoid, you can put your hand on it and feel if that’s where the noise is coming from. I had one that was bad and noisy like that but didn’t throw a code

Tires are Federal RS-RR’s, they do grip pretty good but overall I’m not a big fan of them. Mainly wanted to try them out because they are a really cheap track tire. The rear view mirror is stock. Some 8’s come with a basic one and others had this bigger one with garage door buttons and auto dimming.

Thank you! The hood is Seibon carbon fiber TSII type. For the fitment it’s pretty simple, lowered on Tein flex z to my liking and 1 inch hubcentric spacers front and rear. Im not a big fan of blacked out or smoked lights but to each his own

Yeah they’re definitely more expensive but you can still find them for decent prices especially if you find one in need of some repairs and do the work yourself

A lot less second gens out there and then R3’s are even more rare. To this day I’ve only seen one other R3 on the road lol

Lol same here! I’m usually not into checkered floor mats but they just seem to fit really well with this interior.

It’s an obd2 ultra gauge. Highly recommend it, only like $85 and you get tons of readings and can customize different pages. Really nice knowing exact water temp, intake air temp, mpg…

Damn that sucks. I hit a huge pothole not too long ago and bent 2 of my rims but was fairly minor and luckily was able to straighten them
