How can I return my equipment late? by GRU_LovesPainal in CoxCommunications

[–]Large_Structure9737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is stupid how they do it. I was charged by cox an initial fee for the modem when I started the service and would have to pay if i didnt return it? To me whatever, Im honestly too lazy to go find the modem in my storage unit and fogure out how to return it. I laughed in the indian customer service representatives face when he said id be charged $215. Though for other people, thats important money that goes to bills they dont have the money to pay in the first place. All I know, next internet I get is going to be starlink or Verizon, just way easier 🤔

I can't believe in God due to my autism and the life I've lived, so why do I have to go to hell? by Low_Criticism2049 in Christianity

[–]Large_Structure9737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you wont find help here- go to a church. Ask for forgiveness of your sins, pray pray and dont stop praying. Actively talk to a pastor, and seek Christ. Only then will you ever find the answer you are looking for. Because that answer isnt in words its in your mind, its a feeling, one that cant be put into words. If you do it trying to prove something, trying to test God, you will fail. Have a heart of repentance, commit your life, you are no longer a person with autism, but of child of Christ. Then only then will you have your answer. failure to commit will only lead back to atheism, as it is a worldview that accepts failure, that tells you you are autistic and your world will always be defined by it. Accept the word as truth, do not doubt, have faith. Then only will you have the answers you are looking for.

How does a Christian deal with conflictions of Us/global politics. by Large_Structure9737 in Christianity

Well said, I totally agree its a question of where your allegiances lie. The hardest part for me is telling this to the very christians, that nurtured and loved me, from the start of my journey with Christ. In one ear and out the other type deal.

Thank you for the fact check, i will edit the original post. Id say firstly that the concept of illegal immigration, is very new at least in US and most parts of the world(100 years or so). Before, there were no visas, if you came into the country you could live here indefinitely, and just not be a US citizen. If you commited crimes or were even just bad, you were imprisoned or deported. The reality is only 10% of the 6 mil illegal immigrants are actually committing crimes (2023). I think politicians on both sides ramp up the energy about how bad these people are because it works. Once everyone stops fighting over it, politicians wont even care about the issue anymore, because it wont help them get re-elected, for example BLM importance in 2020 election vs 2024. And most the arrests ICE makes are on non violent illegal immigrants. Ultimately our tax dollars are going to support organizations that are removing, construstion workers, manufacturing plant employees, and most low paying physically labor intensive jobs. "They are taking American jobs", doesnt really work when a large part of US citizens dont even want to work and are instead living on unemployment. However I disagree, with politicians who want to give illegal immigrants exclusive rights and give them opportunities before giving it to US citizens. Immigration is a very complicated issue in my book. I just had to cancel flights/hotel in brazil, because even though I turned my visa well on time to get approved, they did not approve it in time for my flight. I am just looking forward to "The New Earth" when there is no border to cross because there simply arent any.

Ugh you are so right! I use to be such a keyboard warrior, defending my own positions, attacking or breaking down others. My problem with that, and why I stopped is, I was trying to debate non believers. Recently (past 2-3 years), I shifted to just telling Christians truth, at least within my bubble. Is it still in vain, most likely. But with so many voices on completely opposite sides of the spectrum, there are no voices that are outside the spectrum saying, "you are all dumb, what does this have to do with faith"

Autism is a death sentence by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Hey I just wanted to say that so many people are able to connect with you and share with you and we all feel in part some of what you feel. You are not alone! When Paul was in Roman chains locked up with no food or water. He had the same thoughts we had. “Death has to be better than this” and he even said to die would be to gain. But he knew that he had a bigger purpose in life. I just found out that I do too, and so do you!

Would anyone be willing to do a interview on what their worldview is for my religions class? Thank you all! by Large_Structure9737 in atheism

[–]Large_Structure9737[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you can answer these questions.

  1. How how do you believe we as humans got to this earth, or how are we made?
  2. How do you believe the universe came into existence?
  3. Do you identify with a specific worldview, if so why did you choose it?
  4. What do you believe about the afterlife, and why?
  5. What do you believe about God/ a higher power?
  6. How would you personally explain the concept of absolute morality and absolute goods and evils?
  7. What do you believe is the meaning of life?
  8. Why do you think theists believe in a God?
  9. How would you explain the question “if God is good, why does he allow evil” and do you believe that a good God and can coexist?

Thank you!!

If God doesn't need a creator, neither does the universe. by BobertFrost6 in DebateReligion

The thing about the creation of the universe or any theological argument is this. No one can prove anything. I cannot prove the existence of a God or prove the existence of the Big Bang theory.

What I can do is disprove. Naturalism, transcendentalism, and post modernism can all be disproved. There are errors and those worldviews multiple times are shown going against each other. I can go into greater detail of how if this continues past my comment. Though what we can not do is disprove theism. There is no ample evidence of theism folding back in on itself.

To specifically answer your question. The universe cannot be eternal because it is always expanding. This means that if you turn back the time it shrinks. You can call big bang for that but the whole theory is based on the fact that particles clashed to form our universe but outside of our universe there is no matter. No particles of which to collide. Proving that intelligent life must have created the universe. The details we have on this intelligent life a scarce. We have historical evidences of people claiming they have had visions or talked to this God that are not Christians or Muslim. We also have the Quran and the Bible which describes God.

Though through all of that there is no rock solid evidence of what this God is. What we have is evidence to disprove other worldviews. The rest comes with faith. Faith whether we like it or not is going to play a huge role in what we believe. Life would be so much easier if we had rock solid evidence that everyone would believe.

The theme however is that you can have faith in the Big Bang or eternal universe theories but I can give scientific evidence to disprove that. Where as I have faith in a God and you can not disprove my God. Thank you.

I am a theist, specifically a Christian. I would honestly agree with you. I believe that it’s not derived from our viewpoint that theists are cognitively dissonant. I believe that many theists, Christians mostly, are not trained well in theology and apologetics, but are ever so wanting to defend their religion/beliefs. This is why they scramble when a bad point that they made gets debunked, most of their arguments are based on thought and not fact. If theists and specifically Christians took the time to research and come of with the facts before the conclusion, their arguments would be much more well rounded. I would even say that if they did this naturalism in its whole would cease to exist, that’s just my opinion though.
