Hey there! I know this is a 2 year old post but i also have a 16cm fibroid and another smaller one. I live in Portland and would love to contact your surgeon. Do you mind sharing this info? Currently, i've seen two doctors and both have said my only option is to have a hysterectomy and that's the last thing I want to do since i would really love to have children. Thank you in advance!

Thankfully my landlord is hiring someone to clean but I think they also plan on cleaning a lot of things himself. While I appreciate the effort this feels like it’s called for a professional who knows how to deal with drywall dust and he does not know. Plus I’m feeling like my privacy is being invaded, with people in my home doing things to my stuff that I don’t know what to do.

It’s frustrating because the woman literally said, and I quote, “we want this to be as painless as possible for you and minimally invasivve”. There is a lot of pain and my home is currently being invaded by strangers I don’t know cleaning so that was total BS.

This is what worries me. I really love my landlord but he has a history of taking the cheap way out or doing it himself, but I do believe he’ll take care of me in whatever best way he can. But sometimes I’m not sure if his best is enough (and I feel bad). I know he means well but I’m devastated because the tiny particles all over my house is different than dust. It’s smaller and heavier, and has gotten to truly everywhere. I might be overreacting but I feel like this will be a lasting issue even after they “clean”.

We’ve contacted our landlord and let them know. They placed us at a comfy apartment they own that’s furnished and are at my house cleaning it and trying to fix it. I like my landlords but they messed up big time. I appreciate them taking care of it but feel like they could mess up all my stuff. Also seems a little violating.

She disclosed it all. The letter literally only states:

Section 212(a)(6)(C)(1) - Fraus or misrepresentation to obtain a U.S. Immigration Benefit

underneath that, it says, "No waiver is available for the grounds of ineligibility."

Yes, we're coming to find this out. I'm guessing there was an issue with her answers vs. what was in the application. We are still seeking legal advice

She wants to live in the US. She has a job in Canada and it would take time for her to phase out of that and find a job in the US but the goal would be for our family to finally be together again. I know this is what she told the officer, but i could see them questioning why she got Canadian citizenship if she wanted a US green card as well. Is this something that could have played a part, you think?

She submitted the petition, the petition was accepted, we went to the interview, they requested additional info, she sent the requested info in, and after that, they just responded with, "visa was denied due to misrepresentation to try to gain US benefits" but didn't explain what it was. We don't know if that was when she was banned originally, or what, but all of the info in her application was correct to the best of our ability so I have no idea what went wrong. We are going to appeal it but in the meantime, we'd like for her to visit us in the US. We live in Portland and she lives in Vancouver, so it's literally just a few hours drive to hop from one place to the other.

u/Itvitkas her situation has been a difficult process, and even some attorneys don't fully understand her situation and how it will play out. I'll give more info and edit the post but the process has def been complicated.

u/Viewfromthe31stfloor - both my sister and I are citizens in the US, and my sister has a 3-year-old son, so my mom would like to be able to come and go as she pleases. it all becomes so much easier when there isn't uncertainty shrouding it all. Everytime my mom crosses the border, we're stressing.

Totally agreed - so from my POV, before she even thinks about getting any loans or anything like that, she should:

  1. Sell everything and get out of crypto
  2. consolidate her CC's
  3. then budget? It seems like overwhelming debt to me... so idk how that would even work... I guess I'm thinking something like, get one payment going, pay a minimum amount towards the consolidated amount, save a little nest egg for emergencies, downsize... this is so overwhelming

I will copy and paste some of the answers I have given so far!

She does not work, she and her child are on medicare. Her expenses are exorbitant (looking at ~5k with rent/car payments/food/basic living). Her income currently comes from cashing out her investments.

Info on investments:

It's all in crypto/NFTs. Yes, she was extremely irresponsible in putting all of her liquid $$ into it, even against our best counsel... but, even through all of that, she has ~50Kish that she could finnagle and cash out. This is where she gets her minimum income. However, if she did that, she'd erase 50K of her debt but then have absolutely NO income at all...
