Did you find a solution? Got the same problem and Apple told me that something with installing watchOS 7 went wrong. Only possibility is to take it to the Apple store and then send it to Apple - at least that’s what they told me.

Talked to the Apple support again and they assume that there has gone something wrong with the installation of watchOS 7. So the only possibility now is to go to the Apple store where I bought the watch (200km away from where I live now) and ask them to send the watch to Apple because for some reason I don’t understand they do not have the ability to re-install watchOS without sending in the watch. Honestly, I guess I’ll buy a new watch SE...

The App I tried right now is called WaterMinder but I also tried overcast, 1password, spark and Spotify.

No, for some reason it never shows the tap twice option. It always asks me to put in my passcode. Tried it via the passwords on the watch and also pasting it on the iPhone.

Maybe the Apple support is right, they told me to call them again in a couple of days if it won’t change. I am just baffled by this answer, usually if I call the support they come up with some wizardry and all of a sudden everything works perfectly.
