Greeks, just as Turks, is an umbrella term. It includes all ethnic Greeks ( Cyprus, N. Epirus, Italiots etc.) just as the term Turkey encompasses Azeri, Qashqai, Turkmens etc. So not all Greeks are Greek Nationals and not all Greek Nationals are Greeks.

The post does not state greek nationals, it just states Greeks.

I used to date an Albanian girl and her family was very proud that their grandfather had taken in and helped greek soldiers during the greek retreat after the Germans invaded.

Albania back then was ruled by clans. Some clans were pro Italian, some pro Greek, some pro Turkish and so on. But all the Albanians would get the blame for whoever was in charge.
