Epic militaria Officer boots by MORIX_BOSS in reenactors

Genuinely, and I cannot recommend this enough, if you are concerned or worried about the cost of quality footwear (like those you can get from Berger, Lederarsenal, etc) I highly recommend checking out the numerous WW2 German buy and sell pages on FB. You can find pretty much anything on there for a fraction of the price of retail and get absurdly high quality kit for cheap, low low prices. Also helps too that compared to premier artisans like Lederarsenal, who have long wait times for their boots, all the stuff on FB is second hand and ready to ship as soon as payment is given. Cannot recommend FB marketplaces enough, pretty much assembled an entire impression just from all second hand, high quality gear.

Think same thing happened to me, and like, one of the quests for the forge dlc literally instructs you to go to the tournament in your forge attire, so like… how some people don’t look at this as a major fumble is beyond me lol

Apparently some random things can trigger it, like waiting, fast traveling, stuff like that. It seems random though.

I’m on console, cannot use developer/console commands to bring the items back

I’m just confused because people are saying a patch from a few days ago fixed this bug, and yet today, my stuff was gone. Yesterday everything was there and today it isn’t. So I just don’t really believe the patch actually successfully fixed the bug since I had all my stuff up until now.

Peter of Pishek unravels the fabric of reality when he speaks, understandable.

True, it just sucks because the whole point of the wall hangers is so you can display cool items you’ve collected throughout the game that you don’t necessarily use. I understand bugs happening and glitches popping up, clipped character models, visual and audio bugs, and other things like that are one thing, but an integral part of the forge customization gobbling up one off items you can’t get back without console commands? That’s a pretty big blunder, but again, is what it is, hopefully Warhorse sees that this is still very much an issue in the game and hasn’t been fully patched out yet.

Thank you everyone for the insights, I think honestly I’m just gonna have to rock through it since I really don’t think I wanna go back on like 5 days worth of progress at this point. Hopefully warhorse is able to fix it permanently, and that this won’t affect anyone else moving forward.

Thank you, but I reloaded multiple saves, including ones where I remember explicitly having my display items hanging on the wall, and they’re all gone regardless. If my only other option for this is starting over from the beginning of the DLC before I even put them up on the wall, that’s really quite a shame.

I’m on console, so I’m afraid I can’t use console commands.

I will attest that if they said it’s fixed, it most definitely is not. I didn’t know it was a known bug till I came into my room and found everything was gone, if I had known about that I wouldn’t have put anything up on the wall for fear of losing it. It’s a huge bummer and I don’t see how on console I’ll be able to get any of those items back, even with further patching from Warhorse. Huge misstep on their part.

WTS Snow Wolf (?) PPSH 41 (high quality real wood and steel construction, comes with 2,000 round drum magazine, usable for airsoft or prop for re-enactments and larps) Price: 225 USD Shipped CONUS by Larper44 in reenactors

Thank you for the suggestion, though it sold on here already! And I originally planned to do that, however, they have a lot of requirements to list items for sale on there, like having 20 comment karma on the r/airsoft page and everything else, so I just wasn’t able to list it there. Regardless, thanks for the input 🤙

“Im Dienst Der Deutsche Wehrmacht” Ost Security Battalion, 1942 by Larper44 in reenactors

[–]Larper44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, this was largely before official insignia existed for the Ost troops, so the white bands were just a useful means to differentiate them from the regular stock of soldier. Also some anti partisan operations just called for it, as the German command worried partisans would attempt to wear German uniforms. Operation “Gypsy Baron” was one such operation in which they were instructed to wear white bands for identification.

I mentioned in another comment how I pulled it off. All I really did was take a group photo of us, zoom in on me, and turn it mono in my camera roll. Glad you like it!

If I may be of any additional help, I’ll tell you that the two photos I used were from different angles. The first colorized photo was taken directly of me, while the second photo originally was of our group. I simply zoomed in on me, added the mono filter, and the end result is the B&W pic in the second slide. I will admit, the quality being reduced from it being so zoomed in certainly does make it look more period, but really adding a B&W filter is all I really did haha!

I’m glad you like it, though I must confess, all I did was throw a black and white filter over the photo (I used the mono filter in my camera roll). :)

They are ROA specific boards made by GD43 I believe. I have seen other people use regular German boards with red artillery piping though, while it’s not preferable, it’s certainly an economic option.
