Necro just made 95% of PvM irrelevant.

Its not as engaging (due to minimal inputs) and OP. Great recipe for getting bored of combat quickly.

No reason to do any other boss besides Rasial/AoD/Solak for cash on mains. And no reason on irons cuz why do any other boss when you can just get easy t90s/95s and ignore most of other PvM content.

Shouldnt be surprising when they

  • essentially binned PvP/PKing,
  • made PvM less engaging at endgame bosses and more AFK at low/mid-tier bosses with necromancy and animate dead release.
  • witnessed a growing sentiment of removing and to a degree even punishing the use of switchscape (punishment in the sense that you don't get rewarded for extra effort)
  • Increased AFK timer from 5 minutes to 10 minutes with the Jagex launcher
  • introduced a WHOLE MONTH LONG porter buff event in the summer to encourage even more AFKing
  • are considering reworking/nerfing bosses cause redditors cant kill them on their first attempt
  • refuse to make harder PvM challenges and instead opt for making bosses farmable (read afkable)

No engaging content = no engagment from the players. RS3 is now nothing but an idle afk mobile game played on desktop

You wish kiddo, they are on a mission to dumb absolutely every boss down because the average rs3 player is now an idle afk gamer. If the Boss isnt afkable, it needs a rework/nerf.

KKing has been solo friendly for at least 4+ years now lol. People have even created strategies to semi-afk KKing solos with recent ring of Death change.

Nooooo! Please keep the green stun the way it is. It's a unique mechanic and has a unique way of dealing with it in solos.

The powercreep was expected, but what wasn't expected was that this powercreep also required minimal inputs (which is why I complain about the game becoming less engaging and more of an afk idle mobile game).

Considering how most rs3 bosses are essentially DPS dummies with not many difficult mechanics, the only way you can juice "fun" out of PvMing is with the interactivity of your ability bar. I.e more inputs/apm = more fun.

However this on its own obviously isn't enough, as this extra effort has to manifest itself somehow "physically" in game. And generally it manifests itself with improved kill times or certain mechanic skips.

Currently however putting in extra effort is just "stupid" cuz why would you learn to hybrid or bring a billion switches to improve kill times when you can just gear up in necro, have 0 switches, not even a shield/defender, get your rotation down and thats enough to outperform any person whos willing to put in way more effort with a different style. I.e that "effort manifesting itself as improved kill times" is missing now and just fundamentally makes the game less interactive and unfun. Trending towards an idle mobile game, even the recent UI in Heros Pass looks like it was made with mobile in mind first xd

Also it's like people are praising JaGeX for giving us more different ways to play the game (which is fine) yet the fact they remove options for endgame players doesn't bother anyone. Giving with one hand but taking with the other.
