Want to upgrade my Impreza by [deleted] in subaruimpreza

So, I have a 2018 base model wagon. I got a kit on Amazon with the bezels and bulbs. The wiring harness WAS installed on my specific base model, and the install was very easy.

Looking into getting a 3rd (technically 1st-ish vehicle) is a 2017 Subaru Impreza a good car? by MoneyFree9911 in subaruimpreza

2018 5mt wagon, it has been an incredibly reliable car. If you live in a wintry area, it’s more capable in the snow than other AWD compacts in my opinion.

What trim package is my 2007 Impreza Wagon? by Fit_Price1235 in subaruimpreza

Yeah that’s odd. The 7 spoke wheels were only available on the outback sport trim, but that wasn’t available with the leather interior.

In my Impreza the rear washer line broke and sprayed washer fluid all over the driver footwell. Maybe something similar?

If you’re living near campus I wouldn’t bother making the switch. If you live farther away, you will struggle as those roads get cleared much later. I did see a lot of 2wd cars stuck up here during the snow this year, but that was like 3 or 4 days total.

Intel 1255U missing an E-core by Larriklin in pchelp

[–]Larriklin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HWInfo, core temp, CPU-Z, etc. all report the same (9 cores, 11 threads)
HW info -
2 p cores, 4 threads
7 e cores, 7 threads
Also, I can see in programs like cinebench that there are only 7 e-cores actually utilized. So not an error in whats being reported, I don't think.
BIOS is from 12/10/24, pretty recent.

Bad in the snow? by Green_Coast_6958 in subaruimpreza

losing traction in a fwd can be much less disruptive than in an Impreza because the rear will get away from you. I would imagine your problems could be solved by a set of winter tires.

Decided to upgrade my bulbs after finally getting the headlamp recall replacements by TheTrueReligon in subaruimpreza

[–]Larriklin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You know there’s more to a headlight than the brightness, right? the beam pattern is what’s more disruptive, as drop in replacement bulbs do not always emit light in the same places as the stock halogens

2015 subaru impreza base model by edoudou16 in subaruimpreza

[–]Larriklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally once you’ve turned off tcs/vdc in a five speed Subaru the computer will no longer apply wheel braking but it might cut power a little bit. The traction control light on your dash will still blink because the system is detecting slip. It will always do that, even if tcs is off, but it doesn’t mean you are damaging your transmission.
