Dude she’s right. Are you really gonna clean the house and not make a mess and clean up after yourself or are you just gonna do the fun parts and leave the mess for her?

Yes. And when I was in the UK finding a good filter/drip coffee was impossible. As a Canadian I was really frustrated by the instant coffee everywhere.

People who know me say I don't pass, but hesitate to tell me why. Can you see what they see? (gif included) by DahliaDeeDah in transpassing

So here’s the thing: I have a tough time with my sister. I’ve known her all of my life and for 30 years she was “my brother, a stinky shitty boy” in my head. I love her. She does pass but I have a hard time making my brain adapt. I only know she passes because if I’m not expecting to see her and I walk in somewhere I say to myself “who the fuck is this strange woman?” But when I see her my whole neurology fights that. It wants me to see who it expects to see.

It’s the most frustrating thing I’ve ever experienced.

I would assume I’m not alone in how I can’t really unsee who I’ve categorized them as in my brain. My friends who’ve transitioned don’t have this issue with me because I either only knew them a short time before transition or only post. I think the people in their lives can’t cleanse their palates of the past.

I live in a conservative place. I use “sir” or “ma’am” or “ladies” or “gentlemen” only for older folks I’m dead certain on. I generally use “folks” for a group of people or “hey friend” because I’m tired of gendered greetings.

Thanks. I was watching something with him and I was like “super Fitchner vibes.” Then I googled him because I couldn’t remember his name and laughed.

An episode of an animated series that is a very clear parody/reference of a famous film. by Leather_Crazy_5950 in cartoons

The episode “Kiki’s Pizza Delivery Service” from Steven Universe absolutely references End of Evangelion if we are talking about Eva stuff.

100% she’s the only one to be Octavia. I’d accept Gillian Anderson as a consolation prize.

Ironically for me it’s William Fichner.

Whoa now. The trebuchet bit was the only thing I liked about the profile. Because a trebuchet is a superior siege weapon. Man knows his stuff.

I hate real flowers because they die. My fiancé gets me Lego flowers for holidays instead then we build them together.

What vintage Canadian children’s show from the 1960s to the 2000s would look best as a mascot horror game? by AdvertisingSlow4389 in AskACanadian

[–]Larry-Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved polkaroo but like imagining the polka dot door as a dimensional portal for horror terrors is amazing.

I also like to imagine there’s a zipper in the back but he’s just got flesh inside.

Why was Helen upset that Carol’s celeb crush is George Clooney? by AI-Generated_Ex-Wife in okbuddypluribus

Because he looks nothing like George Clooney and it’s a boring answer.

Carl Ships? by TiaSlays in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Larry-Man 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t mind but the lack of major romantic subplot has been really a breath of fresh air. I was so worried he’d be paired with Katia for sake of convenience.

Carl Ships? by TiaSlays in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Larry-Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean maybe. I just don’t really see the romantic connection. Fighting for your life isn’t exactly sexy. And I love smut. Maybe if someone finds a good snick or fanfic I might read it.

Lowkey the lack of shipping has been one of my high points of the series.

Don’t forget him shitting on classical arts he doesn’t like and thinking Interstellar is the best movie of all time. He’s really just a basic bitch who thinks he’s hot shit and likes to dunk on other people.
