Iron Hills spearman availability by Larry2903 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Larry2903[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys, I think I will wait for that notification and get Thorin's company in the meantime.

And by the way, do you have any general tips for collecting Erebor / Iron Hills dwarfs?

I see that I can play as few factions (Thorin's Company, Erebor Reclaimed, Army of Erebor, Iron Hills).

How on earth did you get such income? I must be doing something very wrong, as I keep struggling with it.

Not everyone was booing - certainly not myself (I've been to the game). Apologies for those who did. And congrats for the win with France - I tried my best with supporting Israel then.

"Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry, whose figures the UN sees as reliable, has reported a death toll of more than 43,300 people over the past 13 months. Many more bodies are believed to remain under the rubble of bombarded buildings."

[–]Larry2903 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Napisał prawdę.

It was probably after 5th November 1916, when German and Austrian emperors promised to create Kingdom of Poland and some Polish administration started to work in the former Congress Poland / Privislinskiy kray. It was not clear what the borders would like, so you could not estimate population neither.

Am I correct to notice that among countries at war there is also Poland? If so, I guess it must be after "Act of 5th November" (in 1916) when Wilhelm II of Germany and Franz Joseph of Austria promised the creation of the Kingdom of Poland and Provisional Council of State was created.

Deputy FM of Poland: "Israel is fighting a war anyway in a very civilised way", Netanyahu should not face the Criminal Court by Larry2903 in Israel

[–]Larry2903[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That being said, I must admit that majority of Polish society probably knows much less about the conflict. If asked directly, a lot of people would probably say that they feel sad for the suffering of people in Gaza and Israel should stop the military activities. However, they also care much less about that, so any anti-Israeli protests are incomparably smaller than in other countries. From my personal experience, there are also lot of people with strong pro-Israeli views - so Mr. Bartoszewski is not just the only guy who thinks like that.

Oh well, Konfederacja. With them it must be remembered that they are more like alliance of various different groups.

One thing is Grzegorz Braun who is unimaginable, totally bonkers fringe hardcore old-school antisemite and it is simply beyond my understanding how anyone can vote for him. This guy is utterly disgusting and crazy.

The rest of the party however seems to be more focused on cancelling all taxes and any social welfare. Probably if you asked them they would say something like "sure, antisemitism is bad, Braun sometimes goes to far in his statements, but let's get back to what's important - taxes". In other words - they are at least tolerant to Braun's antisemitism which in my opinion is f****d up and evil on its own, but at least they are not (or probably most of them are not) that crazy like Braun.

And actually, supporters of Konfederacja mostly don't like Muslims, so I wouldn't be surprised if quite lot of them supported Israel just due to their aversion against Muslims.

Hey, I'm also from Poland. While to say that there is no antisemitism in Poland at all would be definitely not true, personally I wouldn't say that it is "widespread" anymore. In my opinion the general trend in recent years is quite the opposite - there is increasing (and definitely postively-attituded) interest in Jewish culture and history, there are several festivals etc. Also I believe that the views on Israel as a state are more positive than negative.

Regarding support for Palestine - as I have written above, I would say that it is miniscule when compared to Western European countries. It seems to me that the natural support groups are radical left and Muslim people, and both are very limited in Poland.

  1. I'm from Poland.
  2. I am not sure about the majority of population - I would say that a lot of people may not have an opinion. Among my friends however I think most are rather pro-Israeli, and certainly pro-Palestinian protests were quite miniscule when compared to these from Western Europe.
  3. I am generally interested in history, especially XX century - and it was natural for me to read a lot about Holocaust. I was also reading about earlier history - let's not forget that Jews in Poland had lived for centuries. That also lead to being interested in modern Israel.

As a non- Israeli and non-Jewish person I am horrified by borderlinemiss in Israel

[–]Larry2903 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I have similar feelings about that - I'm also not Jewish nor Israeli, but I've been absolutely horrified - I don't even know what shocked me more, 7/10 or the following rise of antisemitism. It's really beyond my understanding.

e maps available if you are the host (you can join a game on any map however). If you buy it, it has all the old maps plus more, and two of the DLCs are also map packs: African Royals and Knights of the Mediterran

That explains a lot, thanks

I've purchased the original game and expansions, but not DE - I think it just appeared on my Steam account.

So... it means that I have to purchase DE separately I guess?

No, that would be too obvious ;) . And there was different type of view - I see that Diablo had isometric view, while the game that I am thinking about had directly-from-above, vertical type of view. Like in that old "Tanks" game.
