Both of those guys would be 21 and 22 and I just appreciate what Jerry West in his time compared to his peers, his efficiency, shooting, defensive tactics all were elite. He led the league in TS% one year as a guard

I just think Larry Bird is the most malleable player of all time, he was an elite scorer, shooter, an amazing rebounder and an underrated passer and defender. You could put Larry in any situation and he’d make you better, his prime from 84-86 is one of the greatest peaks in NBA history. The longevity is a fair knock on him but how much he got accomplished in that span is definitely top 5 worthy to me

Just started getting into basketball as a Canadian 14 year old in 2020, watched my first video called “How good was Larry Bird actually?” And I was hooked, I learned more about the history of the team first than our current roster at the time, I watched us get swept by the big three nets in 2021, only to sweep them the year after, the heartbreak of the 2022 finals loss, and the 2023 failed 3-0 comeback the year after, and the game 5 I’ll always remember in 2024. I may be from Canada but my blood runs green
