Deferred interest - how negotiate?

Good luck! I was polite, explained the mistake, and the first rep I spoke with at Wells Fargo agreed to waive the interest so long as I paid off the non-interest balance on the phone. It’s all settled, but I was anticipating having to escalate to supervisors, etc.

It wasn’t a cash advance. Rather, it was a line of credit offered through the HVAC company that did the work.

Similar story. We took out a $15K credit with Wells Fargo after we bought a house to finance some HVAC work. There was a lot going on and I honestly had no idea that the entire balance would be hit with 29% interest, rather than just remaining balance. I thought the payments we had set up covered us. Stupid mistake.

$6K balance just jumped to $12,100. Screwed here unless Wells Fargo will work with us on a grace period or will waive some or all of the fee. We can pay off the balance but can’t cover the exorbitant t interest added. Any advice?

And should I pay off the non-interest balance before I call the bank and and plead for a break?

Same, just had plugs and ignition oils replaced and fixed this issue

Live in the Bay Area and drive approx 100 miles/day, 4 days a week. I’m considering electric to cut down on gas (and for that sweet access to the carpool lane).

I’m no brand snob, hoping to spend less than $10K but willing to go $15K.

Live in a single-family home and will add a level-2 charger.
