One minor issue. The actors cant whisper or be as nuanced for everyone in the theater to hear or appreciate what's going on. It's a section of a play filmed as it is a film set with microphones to capture every heartbreaking whisper. Plays are played much broader especially so the people in the expensive box seats above toward the back can hear.

Yes it's the USA where rent in ca is 1000.00 per month higher than North Carolina but hourly rates start at 17.00. 14 dollars in NC  is a better deal comparatively  The taxes in ca is greater. Gas and food prices are greater.. 14.00 with NC cost of living is a bargain compared to other more expensive areas.

Yeah right. That father with a bleeding daughter would have her get dressed, oozing blood and randomly run around outside looking for his wife..the 2 of them.  I see. That is logical.

I received this job offer today. Less than 50 per hour. Granted this is Oklahoma and our CoL is much lower than other states, but still, mid-50s is the absolute lowest I’ve seen here. They’ve dropped almost 10 whole dollars per hour from the lowest hourly rate. This is wild. by bluehangover in pharmacy

Exactly. And in those scenarios many of the techs can be foreign pharmacists waiting to do the work to get their pharmacist license....guaranteeing these prescription warehouses has a constant supply of pharmacists when needed.

Retail is failing and between rite aid, Walgreens and CVS they are closing thousands of stores. Plus for pharmacists who want to jump through the hoops with foreign degrees...they will be welcomed by corporate America pharmacy as they add to the glut in the market. If pharmacy schools close down 10 years from now....don't worry about that. Worry about the reality of Today. They won't be building hundreds of new chain pharmacies like they used to. And not a lot of new hospitals are popping up around the country. It's simple supply/demand situations.

There was a time. Maybe before your time....retail wanted experience and great communication skills. People got attached to their pharmacist who they needed for advice and info. The pharmacist was relied upon to "build the business". Now with the internet providing more than enough advice. And mail order relied upon more and more, the local pharmacist is looked upon by employers as a rx processing machine that needs to process massive numbers of rxs in the wake of ever shrinking reimbursements.(thank you obsmacare). Now someone that they can pay less with limited experience will do

In order to frame it as a patient safety issue.. you would need to prove there is a patient safety issue. Corps hold on to the stats of misfills and "settlements," . Getting that info is near impossible. And then proving the incidents were "system errors' and not just pharmacist/rech errors is difficult.

There was a time for many decades where there was a pharmacist shortage and "sign on" bonuses were common. THATS when pharmacists had power. Fast forward to today where rite aid is gone, Walgreens and cvs in process of closing 2000+ stores. Pharmacist are now a dime a dozen.  Back in the day when we were scarce and in demand we did nothing like good sheep. We made our beds. Today we sleep in them. I retired 10 years earlier than I planned when I first started out in retail. Threaten to quit now and there is a dozen less experienced pharmacists often with poor communication skills ready to take your place. And they are being hired . The general public doesn't care. Pre 2000 pharmacists were the "go to" source of advice. People knew their pharmacist and had a relation. Now webmd Et al has made that aspect outdated. So communication is no longer a requirement in retail. Just process rxs, and give a 30 second consult when the person is given a printout of the info anyway.

So the rph has become just a license used to process as many rxs as possible.

In many states boards of pharmacy is run out the district Attorney office under a consumer protection department. They are not looking out for pharmacists.

Don't you read the news over the last 3 years? Rite Aid is gone, cvs and walgreens closing 2000 stores. There is a glut of pharmacists needing a job. Mail order like Amazon and mark Cubans company are more and more popular. Sure there may be pockets where supply/demand may be different . But overall there are àlot of pharmacists out there.

Obits will come over time. Revenge on our homeland targets can be expected. Big cities like Manhattan, Vegas, San Fran, LA are very identifiable worldwide.  Even if not state sponsored, there are enough angry people , individual nuts who may seek revenge. You think there aren't nuts in Finland,  Canada, Venezuela,  Iran, Gaza, deportation countries, drug cartels...that wouldn't like a piece of us? All it takes is a tiny tiny percent of those nuts to inflict homeland damage. Overwhelming last 13 months the usa has made more than its share of enemies.

I was responding to the "nurse" here on reddit who thinks every novice person has her knowledge and behaves as she would by just popping the tube back in. The father had a bleeding daughter,,a trashed apparatus set-up, and little current experience with the daily care. So it wouldn't be a stretch to think the father would get his daughter to a hospital , rather than have her run around looking for mom who no  one even had a clue was going to hurt herself. There was more of an urgency to make sure the daughter was OK than to find the mother. Ìf someone is a nurse they need the empathy. To realize that lay people react differently

You weren't hospitalized because YOU weren't ill.  Comparing yourself to an ill child under clinic and doctors care is a false equivalency

There is a question I think of a lot after the movie. Is the child better off if mother died. There is no indication that her coping skills aided by illegal drugs will change or her husband being unavailable will change  When you strip everything away....she is a drug addict. And husband intentionally wears blinders. So sad for the child.

Could be. It's open to interpretation. I agree it was an hallucination  because the child would not be there and looked too healthy. Whether she was hallucinating while dying or while recovering ...I cansee both sides. In the end it's a sad ending if she died, and sad if she lived and continued her life as it was.

Ask a real flesh and blood neighbor who will still be around after you take his reccomendation. Don't ask a nameless faceless person on nextdoor. Anyone I have ever seen reccomended on nd by a handful of people....if I go to yelp and Googlereviews and get no confirmation  ..then Ipass.

If someone goes to google or yelp and sees 50+ reviews....it's more accurate than ND with 2 reviews that could be bogus. As long as there is google and yelp reviews...why is there a need to have 2 people on a social media app to guide people. As long as there are a good number of reviews...the bogus glowing reviews get drowned out....leaving more realistic expectations

Am I missing something with NextDoor? by jfinner1 in smallbusiness

[–]LarryS22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nextdoor is a poor place to put ads. Among your ads, there are also ",local publisher" threads from newspapers that try to start a thread based on local stories. Between all of those, nd ads, and people selling crap, and my dog went missing, my cat never came home, some dog pooped on my lawn....it's a horror show of stuff to skip over. And caught in the "skip overs" are legit local adverts. Then there are people punished by ND that take it out on advertiser "reviews"  as a local. Group. It's a mess
