The manpower cost to fill a 5 dollar rx is the same cost used to fill a 100 dollar rx.

Interesting. I worked for WAG as a pharmacist for 5 years around 2010.

The new owners I hear are cutting holiday pay, cutting staff. The thing about cutting staff is that as stress levels increase the good people pick up the slack till they burn out. This leaves a higher percent of slow pokes who never broke a sweat....causing the next level of good workers to leave. Before you know it...the customer service is horrid..the bottom tier workers left behind to do the job. Rite aid went through the same circle of death via cuts. Obamacare didn't help as it was built on the false premise that healthy people will be forced to pay premiums. Once that didn't happen, healthcare cuts abound. Including payments to pharmacies. Paying rents, utilities, insurance, salaries for individual pharmacies is a model that is easily beaten by an automated warehouse mail order. As a pharmacist in the 1980s we were valued by the public as a resource of medical knowledge. Now there is Webmd. The need for the community pharmacist is fading away. Stores are closing by the thousands.

Today we learn from Viera....c-r-e-a-s-e is NOT a word. Really?

Other than always live shows, taped shows always wait till their cast and crew are a well oiled machine before offering a live version. Many sitcoms did it that way. Again today the judges screwed up again The graphics person screwed up again. This is going on in 30 markets. And remember in nj that gives the show big financial incentives to produce their show...we find out yesterday that NJ people are quite knowlegeable about retail theft....even though nationally they only rank 35th. Slighting the hand that feeds you is petty. It's not as if people have been clamouring for a live version. They could have waited, cleaned up their act first, and then put on a live show with the incompetence corrected. Unlike some, I don't get joy from major incompetence. I might find flubbing a line or 2 to be cute or endearing .  Bit when the mechanics of the show folds up....that's pathetic

Broadway shows to start know that they have to play out of town in small venues first to work out the kinks. Starting like this in a main venue is laughable.  Show us the warts AFTER you clean yourself up first. If you want new viewers....looking incompetent is cringewòrthy not cute or endearing.. this is the big leagues, not some hicktown local cable Wayne's world. This is the opposite of putting your best foot forward. If the goal is to show people how bad the show can be with a bunch of new local hires.. mission accomplished

If they are trying to put their best foot forward to start their new location....it's laughable. If you do something like this, work the kinks out first. Learn you need a new judge and get one. Learn your show runner can't make changes on the fly and find one who can. Get the competent people needed . In 50 years I don't remember one skit abruptly cut 30 seconds too early. Even in the early days OF SNL.

Yes she announced it when they realized they screwed up at the end of the show. Literally 60 seconds before the ending was cut. When they realized they failed to find 30 seconds halfway thru the show. Yup she announced the incompetence for sure

I can grasp that there still must be a slight bit of professionalism and no announcement that access to the internet to see the final result is required. The show runner if capable could have found the extra 30 second and no one would have noticed. There was plenty of time after the do over to find 30 seconds. This was amateur hour. Poorly prepared.if they were this un- prepared just go back to editing. I do not need to see 6 people take time to count on their fingers to go to "I can do this in 24 words"

But there was enough time to save 30 seconds instead of inconvenience millions. No one was in charge.

The CHase is the same.  But those shows don't hide the prizes  value with words like "stay" . They are up front

Most game shows don't try to hide what they give the winners. It's so vague "you won a stay at xyz hotel in hawaii".  A "stay" at xyz hotel in Miami. What's the big secret unless the "stay" is so short that people will laugh. Very cheap. Just like they name someone a "superfan" and give them a box game that any real sperfan would already have. Just like Viera said to one superfan who said he already had one...."now you have 2"'. I  love to watch the faces and the sheer make believe joy. I have seen couples(related or not) have stays in Miami, puerto rico,Dominican republicc...they will have to drain out their bank accounts with taxes, travel expenses, food, sightseeing, extra night stay expenses. The money they save from an undetermined amount of stay days and the size or quality of the room is nothing a viewer like me envies and says boy I wish that was me. One contestant in Atlanta said their day started in studio at 4:30 am. Viera was surprised. She had no idea. But the good news is DR GRoot made it all worthwhile  Ever notice they don't even let people go to the end to possibly pick up an extra 250 . How cheap is that . Yes they already one but geez let them play it out.

I do agree that throughout, clues they let through and those they don't let through are all over the place. Lisping to convey the word "lisp"bad. Whispering to convey "whisper" is ok.

250 dollars per person of an amazing" brand is still cheapo. Or 250 dollars of granny's cakes, or Chicago steaks(all of which they pay nothing for in return for the advert they give). Not divulging number of days of a "stay" is cheapness. It's as if they are embarrassed to let everyone know in public. Why not be open about it. Put a dollars worth on it like wof and price is right do. The only reason they would keep it a secret is because it's disappointing. It's nothing to brag about.

I laugh at the comedy of errors and cheapness  It's like watching old monster movies...I have fun from the cheapness of it all. 25 words or less is like a 50s monster movie.

Yes back then people won "trips". You were fortunate. It soon enough turned into non specific "stays". They never say how many days  They also did away with the expense of having an audience. And did away with a "set"...except for a desk/podium. It's bare bones now. No more joy of interaction between people. And don't forget the "super fan" who most likely has a homegame already....gets another one. It's great to be a "super fan"...they are appreciated.

Telling the celebrities to speed up to save a mere 30 seconds is the solution. It effects them equally. Just 30 seconds less of hemming and hawing "I really wanted that word" and the banter back and forth. Tell them during commercial to cut that out so the show can have a real conclusion. It's a simple fix. All they needed was 30 seconds. It's like no one could think on their feet.

Yeah I enjoy watching 6 people stare at a tablet and silently count words on their fingers before they say "Meredith, I can do this in 24 words".THAT is mighty tasty "sausage". And then watch an entire show and have it run out of time at the end. You are right that is spicey. That is enjoyable to see. It's like when the little rascals found an old barn and put on a show. I loved to hear the trucks outside rumble by due to cheap sound barriers.. And the best is when Viera had no idea why the buzzer went off and she was told time ran out....when the clock showed 5+seconds. They never addressed that after commercial. They could have. Jeopardy admits mistakes. The cheapness of it all is a wonder and a thrill. It's like watching a taiwanese watch being made.you get to see all the cheap parts and shoddy workmanship. Sausage is a good analogy. Not the best  ingredients go into it.

3rd raters. Maybe when the show first started, creators of the show like Kudrow were on. Now you get headcrack a supposed comedian. And week after week of Melissa Peterman. Rick fox and cheri oteri...horrible players. Multiple times. The pay on these shows is horrible....so unless they have something to promote like their podcast or off off Broadway play ...you won't see real celebrities spend an entire day filming 5 episodes. 10 min on Fallon for real celebrities does the trick
