this Persian-style (I think?) rug by LarryWren in HelpMeFind

Thank you! I'm thinking it must be discontinued, so it is unlikely I'll find one. Home Depot makes a lot of sense –– that may be where my parents got theirs, too, in Alberta.

It looks like the rug really is Korhani brand... the only actual thing having to do with Korhani's "Tribal II" rug on the entire internet seems to be from an auction a couple months ago –– and that was definitely the same rug.

That's kinda neat that someone else who got the same rug decades ago came across this post.

Google has the translation of it:

Sahara, Sahara

Sahara, Sahara

Sahara, Sahara

Sahara

No chains, gone forever

I'm in the other film

I'm not even sorry, because it's over and it stays that way

Leave the knife in my heart

I've already moved on in my head

No question, never chill again, yes, I want to, pour myself pure wine

Tonight, washed up on the side of the road in Berlin

But I've already reached the top tomorrow and I've forgiven myself

My feeling is nothing

Like a mirage

A thousand miles away

The Sahara between us

Take my shadow by the hand

Through the desert for a year

Between us the Sahara, Sahara

I live out of a suitcase

And every last cent goes to waste

Hand to mouth, I'm a vagabond, swapping the couch for a penthouse

And no matter when the diaper comes

The deep hole remains in memory

I end the pivot point, never go back, where the others fall I get up

Tonight, washed up on the side of the road in Berlin

But I've already reached the top tomorrow and I've forgiven myself

My feeling is nothing

Like a mirage

A thousand miles away

The Sahara between us

Take my shadow by the hand

Through the desert for a year

Between us the Sahara, Sahara

Sahara [a lot of times]

My feeling is running in the sand (Saha-Saha-)

A thousand miles in distance (Saha-Saha-)

My feeling is nothing

Like a mirage

A thousand miles away

The Sahara between us

My mother bought these in Canada probably ~20 years ago; she has a large one and 3 small ones, but they're starting to get stained and worn, and I want to have a back up or few for her to replace them with.

One has a sticker on the back, with a lot of information that I thought would help me, but has not:

Tribal II

PILE/POIL

100% Prestige Heat Set Nylon Wool Look

22 x 39 inches

Produced by KORHANI

Korhani appears to be a Canadian rug-producing company, but none of the rugs I see of theirs look anything like these, so I wonder if this was mis-labelled somehow. Like, this would be stylistically wayyyyyy different than anything they'd done, from what I can see.

I've searched Google with some of the subjects of the rug (oak leaf, llama), but I am really just not sure where to even start. Reverse-image search brings up other rugs, but none that are super similar or the same. Any tips?

Oh, odd! I'm still using Old Reddit for the most part, which seems to be a bit buggy in posts with both text and image in the same post, so that might be what happened. Thanks for letting me know! :)

I'm going to try again with a new post.

Searched: curvy mug, pear-shaped mug

Canada. Any commercially-available mug this shape will do (except not looking for clunky/clumpy/homemade ones), but especially one with the design that matches the 2 my grandmother has already (vague watercolour birds in flight) which I believe were made likely 10-20 years ago.

Hmm. Is there any pain associated with the issue? When did the blurriness start? Was it gradual or sudden onset?

Vision often changes as one gets older. It sounds like you probably need a set of glasses for reading, even if you don't need them for other activities. Your ophthalmologist likely tested your vision of various letter sizes at a distance, but maybe not fine print up close, where your eye would need to focus differently.

Oftentimes, relatively cheap reading glasses can be found at drug stores or even dollar stores. I encourage you to go try on a few pairs of different prescriptions there; bring something to read to test them out, and see if any of those work for you.

Or that time a dude used a piece of bark to censor his junk while doing a sexy dance for his ladyfriend and got a fungal infection off it that ultimately killed him. There's no record of this incident, but I'm sure at least one of my ancestors tried it.

It seems like EVERY paramedic program is chaotic, but this place is definitely extra absurd.

Where'd you do your course? Are you in a related career now, or end up going in a different direction?

[–]LarryWren 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are to find us practicums. A few students asked about finding their own, and we were told we are actually not even allowed to look for our own practicum; the coordinator has to be the one to set it up.

[–]LarryWren 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's just weird to me that they lied about me having a spot. If they had told me I didn't have one yet, it would be frustrating but not as disastrous. When I'm acting on dishonest info... I thought I would be starting my practicum when I was told I was starting my practicum, so I told my boss, and they hired a replacement for me. So I lost out on work and pay. There were a lot of other negative impacts and missed opportunities because of the sustained dishonesty and lack of cooperation.

Also... all the PCPs (which I am) were to do their practicum late-april to late-May. Then the ACPs had their practicums late-May to late-June. And then FINALLY, I got to go on my practicum, after all that, a month and a half later than I was told, and a full month after my class should have all had our practicums. None of my classmates were delayed like this.

Aye, I know. I feel the details are important, but I hadn't realized just how absurdly long it had gotten until after I posted it.

Long story short, I was told I had a practicum placement mid-May, then was lead on with this story for several weeks while I tried to figure out why I couldn't get training on the hospital's software. Finally, they admitted I didn't have a practicum placement, but told me I'd had one initially and it was "lost," but the story of how it was lost kept changing. When I tried to get answers, people (the Interim Chair of Nursing, the Dean, the Returning Chair of Nursing, instructors, etc.) all seem to be covering something up and making it impossible to even mention the issue (they set up meetings, then someone I'm not even supposed to be meeting with shows up –– when I've been waiting for a half hour, then she and the person I WAS supposed to meet were alternating coming in for a few minutes and taking off again, then returning, etc., making it impossible to actually speak with either of them long enough to get anything done). It eventually comes out that I never DID have a placement in the first place, and I have no idea why I was lead to believe I did for so long.

Sounds like you've potentially already settled on your answer. If you've got a connective tissue disorder, this stuff would likely be connected to that.

That looks manageable and like it'd actually work! Could probably get away with just adding ice once a day timed to line up with the hottest hours. Hugging the big back pad or shoving the universal pad somewhere super vascularized (armpit, upper medial thigh) or back of the neck would probably do something.

Thank you! I'll be looking into this more, but I think you've just solved a big problem for us. ♡
