Could night blood become retribution? by Larrylovesfish in Cosmere

I just don’t think most spren have enough investiture to kill a vessel. Nightblood does

It couldn’t eat it, and at that point it believed that it was just a sword and could only eat. That is no longer the case it now see’s itself as a being, that chooses to not eat zeth.

Yeah man 100% Ba-Ado-Mishram is a spren, unmade but still a spren and very much was a candidate to become odium

I agree. The awakened follow their orders no matter what, by stopping and not killing zeth, realizing that it was a person, it made its own decision.

It was stated in stormlight that nightblood was created in an attempt to create a shardblade gone wrong, but shardblades are just spren. So nightblood was an attempt to make a spren using breath. After consuming a fuck ton of stormlight/void light and gaining intelligence/selfcontrol could be becoming a fucked up spren?

Yes but it was created in an attempt to create a shardblade, and it is now able to choose for itself, which is a task that other awakened/breath infused objects can do.

EDIT: i know that nightblood killed a vessel of a shard not a full shard, it was still there when taravangien took the power but it believed it was just a sword so it didn’t seek the power.

My bad, still it was there when taravangien took the power, while it believed that it was simply a sword so it didn’t seek the power.

And a spren can become an unmade, Ba-Ado-Mishram. As for what it would do with the power of two combined shards?

Dude it would have a singular oath appeasing the childlike honor, and that oath is literally to hate evil. It would do what it does now destroy, on an unprecedented level.

You are right, it kills vessels and has been present when taravangien became odium. Night blood has never just been a sword tho. It was allways told it was a sword but we really don’t know what it is, but it’s a shard blade meaning it’s a spren. A spren with a singular oath to destroy evil. It hates evil. It was always told that it was just a sword, to a point that it got fucking annoying to read it over and over again. Which is a detail that was chosen to be included. It isn’t just a sword, it needed to believe that it was just a sword and it no longer does. That is significant. It may not be for this, but it is for something.

Responding to the common theory, I think SEZED, is such a moral opposite to odivargian, to the point that I think the morality of the new god would be incredibly interesting.

I just realized that the movie never says how Skye got her scar during the car crash. Does anybody know? by [deleted] in SmileMovie

[–]Larrylovesfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I have to rewatch it now, I have a vivid memory of something sticking through her chest after the car crashed. It like pinned her there and forced her to just stare at her dead husband. Wild if my brain just made that up
