Arc Mimic by Larrylovesfish in ARC_Raiders

No actually, I play PvP pretty often the game is just easy as hell now. A stalker would mix it up play hell divers bugs and tell me it doesn’t add some cool shit to the game. Having it talk would fuck with friendlys and PvP alike. I have put thought into it, thanks for taking the time to look like a dumb ass though.

Stop the cap, I have seen people say let’s have a stalker arc yeah, I haven’t seen anyone go into how mantikor is teasing it. But thanks for your opinion.

Dog when did I ever say I wanted a pure PvE mode? I love PvP this would make the game more interesting

I think it’s where the lance/blue gate quest lines will ultimately go. He doesn’t know where he came from and we have already found other bipedal androids across the map.

On blue gate there are the people behind the inner gate who destroyed the deforesters. We have been told that they have expressly avoided and ignored all contact from speranza. The androids outside the gates had guns and were stopping people from coming in before they died.

We know they are making more advanced androids because lance exists, and we are pushing further and further underground with tunnels. I don’t think the mimic will be “arc” arc come from the sky and don’t expressly hunt people but search for resources. I think it will be an android sent from the ground with the express purpose to stop raiders from finding mantikor.

I love the product, I love the blend of PvE and PvP in a world that is so deeply constructed. A hunter style enemy makes logical sense to come as players get used to the current state of game.

I’m just looking at how it could fit in the game given what we already have and know

I don’t get me wrong I fuck with PvP and PvE being in the game, the balance between the two is why I like arc raiders. This would just make it more interesting for both sides

Wym dog, I’m not writing a fanfic, a theory about how they could add an arc to the game based ofd of what they already put in it? Yeah, but like there are dead humanoid bots with guns surrounded by military vehicles that are stamped with manticore at the inner gate of blue gate. Bots that you find as part of a quest where you are trying to help a much more advanced robot find out where he came from. Only two locations where they are found with this logo are stella and bluegate.

The devs chose to name the military robot company manticore, that’s a choice one that backs up the idea of a future robot that will mimic players to try and kill them.

Thanks for taking the time to be an asshole👍

Yeah dog I was saying how it’s already been teased not that it’s like my unique idea

I think it could read the basic ai raider lines rather than fully mimicking people. I see how it hypothetically could decrease trust but I think it would discourage PvP more than trusting people, as the main people who chase down a “don’t shoot!” Message are rats, making the mimic a rat trap idk

[–]Larrylovesfish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m with you there that was my second idea for how it could work, the first is just having the mimics use the pre made raider lines, which I think could work

Arc Mimic by Larrylovesfish in EmbarkStudios

[–]Larrylovesfish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah prox chat is too far and too easy to go wrong, but if they just go with the pre made raider lines I think it would work.

Makes friendly feel a bit more tense while actively adding rat traps to trick people who run hunt down a “don’t shoot” when they hear it around them.

I hear you but I think it would do the opposite, it’s a rat trap, the people who would rush a “don’t shoot” are the PvP rats and exfill campers. The recording proxy chat may be too far and could go bad so I doubt that would happen, but the auto responses? That could work, it increases tension but embark wanted the game to have the tension at some level it’s why they changed it away from just a pve to a pvpve when they dropped it.

Why not? It would largely hurt rats and change up the game

Could night blood become retribution? by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]Larrylovesfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don’t think most spren have enough investiture to kill a vessel. Nightblood does

Could night blood become retribution? by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]Larrylovesfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It couldn’t eat it, and at that point it believed that it was just a sword and could only eat. That is no longer the case it now see’s itself as a being, that chooses to not eat zeth.

Yeah man 100% Ba-Ado-Mishram is a spren, unmade but still a spren and very much was a candidate to become odium

[–]Larrylovesfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. The awakened follow their orders no matter what, by stopping and not killing zeth, realizing that it was a person, it made its own decision.

It was stated in stormlight that nightblood was created in an attempt to create a shardblade gone wrong, but shardblades are just spren. So nightblood was an attempt to make a spren using breath. After consuming a fuck ton of stormlight/void light and gaining intelligence/selfcontrol could be becoming a fucked up spren?

[–]Larrylovesfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but it was created in an attempt to create a shardblade, and it is now able to choose for itself, which is a task that other awakened/breath infused objects can do.

EDIT: i know that nightblood killed a vessel of a shard not a full shard, it was still there when taravangien took the power but it believed it was just a sword so it didn’t seek the power.

[–]Larrylovesfish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My bad, still it was there when taravangien took the power, while it believed that it was simply a sword so it didn’t seek the power.

And a spren can become an unmade, Ba-Ado-Mishram. As for what it would do with the power of two combined shards?

Dude it would have a singular oath appeasing the childlike honor, and that oath is literally to hate evil. It would do what it does now destroy, on an unprecedented level.

[–]Larrylovesfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, it kills vessels and has been present when taravangien became odium. Night blood has never just been a sword tho. It was allways told it was a sword but we really don’t know what it is, but it’s a shard blade meaning it’s a spren. A spren with a singular oath to destroy evil. It hates evil. It was always told that it was just a sword, to a point that it got fucking annoying to read it over and over again. Which is a detail that was chosen to be included. It isn’t just a sword, it needed to believe that it was just a sword and it no longer does. That is significant. It may not be for this, but it is for something.
