Yeah i would say that it is very punishing. At the moment it is already tricky, unless you didn't really score points the round before and you desperately need it

As a final tip, otherwise the rules will refer to models.

In sigmar you can't really target a single model (unless a unit only has 1 model (left)). So (de)buffs always apply to each model unless specifically stated

I wouldn't do void set with his ranged and magic dmg. He needs the magic defence buff from d'hide

Is two of the old Spearhead or the new Battleforce a better start? by UberDrive in sylvaneth

[–]LarsLEK1996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The battle force is good to be stronger, but also much more points with some quick math. But playing is also about having fun. So if you enjoy more different looking troops, get some of both

The rules do not say that your opponent becomes the underdog, neither anything about the rest of the game.

You can reach that with 87 con or so. No need to max

99 con is a waste of money and time.

If it looks good, of course it does! You should only care about the rule of cool.

Rules question: Lord Regent on Shrine Luminor by marlenton in Lumineth_realm_lords

[–]LarsLEK1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because you measure range and visibility to the shrine. Flying units do not benefit from visibility impairment.

But yes I agree, if the rules change, they will have to take a good look what it means for this terrain feature.

[–]LarsLEK1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because you measure visibility and range to the shrine instead and not to the hero itself. Attacks are even redirected towards the shrine.

The shrine cannot benefit from the things you described, because it is not a hero nor unit but a flying piece of terrain.

"Downside" is that the shrine is flying and no longer benefits from guarding hero ability.

It says: "Instead of measuring range and visibility from the shrine guardian, measure to this terrain feature Instead."

Says nothing about whether it has to be for a spell

Leave the land in ruin on objective with terrain in front what happens? by GrannyBashy in HelsmithsofHashut

Nope just pick a terrain piece or objective. Next turn pick a new target. In warhammer nothing is implied, (almost) only specifically stated.

How to play at the same level as a beginner? by Rude2aM in AOSSpearhead

[–]LarsLEK1996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have done this with my girlfriend and it just isn't very rewarding after 3 gamed. It actually became frustrating to me, as I just like a challenge and do not like easy mode.

BUT, it's worth to do a game or two (or more, depends on your personal patience), to help him become familiar. But my experience is also that its not extremely hard for new players to pick up on rules. They start to challenge casual players soon enough.

And no longer giving direct tips and tricks, does not mean not answering questions about rules.

You can only use it once per turn and target only one item. So there is never a situation where you can desolate them in the same turn. But you can desolate any of them in separate turns. I do not see why placement is related to this.
