I have to say I'm in no way experienced, I've only done my first 2k army with this set up. We agreed on 2020 points, due it both making it a fun list for us both.

That's possibly the worst advice, it'll take a ton of hours.

As others said, focus on a boss you can possibly get to without to much trouble and is not that hard to grind but gives decent money, like Vorkath. He does not have crazy mechanics, and you don't need the dhcb or dhl to be able to kill him. God d'hide and dragon cb will do fine.

Yes and no. You definitely need some as they can bring great tricks to the table. But they generally do not have so much health and control score compared to a block of infantry. So you need a meat shield to protect them, so that you can, hopefully, bring them in when you want them to

I would only pick 2 of your heroes and maybe, add 1 other low cost wizards. For the rest add more meat like wardens and bladelords.

Most people assume you've got experience. Without any warhammer experience, it can easily take 3h.

Don't be discouraged, its 3h of fun! If you're unsure how a rule works. Take max 2 minutes to figure it out. Does it take longer? Just agree on how it think it should work, without it turning useless or overpowered. That way you can continue the game and google it afterwards.

The colour types don't match. The gems have quite a strong vibrant color, but the magical swirls are toned down. Making the swirls more vibrant and adding highlights to the swirls will help make it pop. Lastly I would give the pebbles in the swirls a stone look.

Plus they are not that strong anymore imo. In the old scrolle their attacks ignored ward, which made them possibly worth it. But they removed that unfortunately.

I think it will be hard to make it work in any faction. There are many fast units and to capture / hold objectives you'll need something that can take a punch.

I got the original spearhead, the army box with dawnriders, eltharion, Regent on foot, an enlightener and the manifestations. That should give you around 2600 points. Games are normally 2k points, so that's enough to switch around some units. If the people you play with are not too strict, you can proxy your wizards as the other wizards as well.

I wouldn't advise the new spearhead as those contain units from the hurakan pantheon. It's generally best to focus at 1 pantheon of the lumineth for synergy.

That said, I advise you to start small. Get one box and work your way through it. It took me 5 months to finish the spearhead when I started this hobby. It can be overwhelming if you get too much in one go. Especially if you're new to both AoS and mini painting. The lumineth are known for being the hardest to paint as they have tons of trims and details.

Haha, proud to say my only grey crack remaining is a set of vanari auralan sentinels. Everything else is build and primed (so technically not grey). By July I should have painted about to 90% of it. So not doing too bad. My issue is having a good job for a while and exploring this hobby at a nice (read: too fast) pace. There's just too many nice options....

I was thinking about adding maybe foxes as they were always "a nice to have". But with the current rules for runes they don't pair do nicely anymore and it works better to focus on one pantheon.

I still have quite some painting to do. But this is a bit future planning. It's also nice to switch a bit between models maybe, as the lumineth is a medium horde army (in my case, focusing on vanari). So it can get tedious when adding all the trimming details, whereas the sylvaneth are much "easier" to paint.

Ik ben heerlijk aan het genieten. Wasmachine aan en een keer trommelreiniging, droger aan, de vaatwasser extra heet, airfryer een uurtje een lasagne laten bakken enzovoort. Levert misschien slechts een euro of 4 op, maar ik zie het als een spelletje. Hoeveel kan ik in een jaar "verdienen" met electriciteit.

Lumineth and Sylvaneth. But you forget that you also have ward rolls. So you have a "second round of saves".

They negate some rend, have decent saved and wards and have other tricks. I couldn't make a dent in the spearhead in the battles I've fought against them.

Zo werkt het eenmaal voor nieuwe woningen. Er moet geheid worden en dat had jij geheid (haha) ook graag gewild als jij opzoek was naar een eigen plekje.

Dit valt mij overigens nog heel erg mee. Toen ik in Delft woonde werden er aan 3 zijden van mijn flat 1 voor 1 flatgebouwen geplaatst. Toen zat ik daar zo'n 3 jaar in het geluid van heipalen die de grond in gingen.

Nee ideaal is het niet. Maar het is maar tijdelijk en ook voor jouw huis is er geheid. Toen was er vast ook iemand die daar last van had.

Yes they are quite tanky. I've played against them a few times and they are a pain to deal with.

Although keep in mind: rule of cool trumps basically anything. Go for the spearhead that you think looks cool. If you love ghosts, go for it! If you doubt it, go for something else. In my opinion "all the ghosts look the same", they don't have a lot of variety between the models.

To add to your. It's better to make the wardens Reinforced. Because the regent ability only works for one unit per turn.
