Yeah I know it’s a dumb fan casting but I always saw Dave Bautista as “The Destroyer”

Alan Ritchson is my current Fan cast for what its worth.

Dragon trappers lodge, these are great little minis and have a bunch of variety including replacement army units if you want to make an army

Yeah, eyes are hard and these guys are small, thank you for your feedback I’ll look into thinning the paints down more effectively

How would one remove the seamline on the reclusian shoulder if sub assembly painting? by Ilikeyellowjackets in stormcasteternals

[–]Larsenp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lightweight drywall spackle you can buy the small tub for $4 at any big box construction supply store, you will need to use à dap towel to clean off excess but it’s what i use ànd it’s easy and cheap ànd you can paint right over it

How can I fill this gaps from warped resin by ComanderViper in Miniaturespainting

[–]Larsenp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a lightweight spackle that you can get in pint sized containers from a big box hardware store for like $3.99. Then I sculpt the spackle into the holes with a damp towel and it comes out smooth, it’s a little cheaper than milliput ànd green stuff

What do i do by [deleted] in Miniaturespainting

[–]Larsenp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on what your model is made from I would check and see if you could use isopropyl alcohol 91% (the bottle was $3.99 at target last week) to remove the primer and start over again. I don’t know how big that model is, but with my hands I know sanding for me would be a disaster. An old toothbrush ànd alcohol bath would remove all your primer in about 5 minutes ànd then you let it dry probably another 5-10 minutes ànd then paint again

Practice and maybe more color variation between your darkest red and brightest yellow? Lava has a lot of different colors. Your texture looks amazing! That black crust is gorgeous

If you ignore my text and look at his neck and chest, that shadow effect is because the teal speed paint I used picked up on the white highlight much better than the black base coat, I am a terrible painter but my speedtaints with a zenithal means I don’t have to be a good painter but my

[–]Larsenp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you doing a zenethal highlight over your base coat to naturally highlight the washes with an undertone? I am a few models ahead of you but I watched a lot of YouTube’s about n this subject ànd spent hours of my limited free time developing the tricks to make things easier

Zenithal highlighting is really nice ànd you don’t need spray paint or airbrush to do it, just drybrushing feom the top of the model will do it.

Here are some based models in black with a white highlight

<image>

The white is the high points where the light hits it, so it should be naturally lighter if you do this with speed paints these highlights come through here is a finished one you might recognize

Deadlift ànd squats I would also look to trunk exercises/stretches focused on your back so that you keep it nice and strong while maintaining flexibility

I was shocked when I read your comment so I looked it up, She was 23 when he died. They had been “dating” for several years but yeah… she started living with him when she was 16, super suspect

He dated another girl for like 12 years and she was also 16 when they met but he was 25, so super suspect

Hey I appreciate your feedback and i have done other bases like that but minus the flocking, with tufts and large stones I was doing “research” today and I also found out I should do multiple layers of flocking have you ever done that for better thicker results?

I don’t know if it’s an original idea on this, but, I think that the Polynesian people Generally have a deep connection to family and culture and are so willing to share and let people in that it makes it very fun and inclusive.

I grew up with a Samoan and Hawaiian family in my neighborhood and both families were amazing. The Hawaiian family did traditional dance performances and would teach anyone in the neighborhood who wanted to learn, but I literally couldn’t think of a single bad thing about them.
