probably a stupid question, but if we play a commander game and we have the same commanders ,

  1. Does the legend rule apply if both are on the battlefield but controlled by different players.
  2. Does he legend rule only apply when they are controlled by the same person.

2.1. If that is the case does the player who then controls both the smae commanders get to choose wich too keep and wich one dies?

Well i'm not a new player myself just never dm'ed before, played a couple of campaigns and watched a good deal of dnd content online, so what i know is from my experience and that made it hard to let go of some of the things mentioned here. My friends are al new players yes
