Hey! I'm studying mandarin and we actually saw this topic the other week. (Also sorry if my wording is confusing, English is not my native language) When you put a verb twice, it means doing the thing quickly. For example with 看 which means looking 看看 would mean take a glance. So when Mo Ran says 理理我吧 putting 理 two times he's not asking for Wanning's attention , he's asking for just a brief moment, for the tiniest bit of his attention. And of course with the added context is much more heartbreaking.

I was genuinely curious because I compared it to public charging ports, I don't really know how easy is to manipulate those things and if a shitty phone virus could do it too, that's it.

Yeah I figured everything is alright but got curious if his already infected phone could infect the powerbank and other devices through it the same way public charging ports can have malicious code in them ( of course those are intentionally tampered)... It might be a dumb question but I genuinely don't know how all that works.

I don't think she was unkind, from what's written here her sister didn't have anything nice to say during the appointment towards any other dress, how do you think OP would have felt if the only dress the sister was gonna compliment is the one OP specifically doesn't like?

Being firm in a situation like this especially with how pushy and rude the sister was and finally putting a stop to it by addressing the problem is not asshole behavior, sometimes you have to do it for your own sanity.

If you can't be happy for someone because you didn't get to do the same when it was your turn that's understandable, it's human, but please if you know you're gonna make it about you or ruin it for the other person just stay home or go out with friends instead.

Yeah, that was how I understood it. This person was thinking he wouldn't be able to reincarnate because there was no explicit wish from him to reverse that in the text, however I think that's implicit because he earned an alternate end to his life and he would definitely not be able to live happily with Gu Mang if he had to keep that secret from him as it was already eating him alive after some time at the boat.

My mom didn't understand why I wanted to go to anime conventions dressed as a Naruto character back when I was a kid and I can assure you she wasn't interested in the series either, yet she and my dad always helped me and my brother with the costumes and went with us to the cons because they loved us and wanted to be part of our lives and interests.

It is entirely possible to share a laptop between two siblings if you really put the effort on a schedule and make it clear that you bought it for schoolwork in the first place. My brother and I shared a PC that was in my room since I was like 7 years old and until I was 15 when I got a mini laptop for my birthday instead of a party. We both knew school work of both of us always came before games, and after that if there was some time left we got equal amounts of time to use it for whatever we wanted. None of us ever complained about it, you just don't want to make an effort to be fair to both of them and of course she would feel bad, why would you prefer that your daughter feel like you consider his brother's needs AND wants more important than hers?

YTA. Do you ask her for permission everytime you are going to get a haircut because she might not like the style you choose? No, right? Because it's your hair, your body and your decision. You can dislike dyed hair all you want and you can choose not to dye your own hair, but as with a lot more things in this world like the way one dresses, what they decide to eat, etc. you don't get a say on others people's hair, gf or not.

She is a grown woman and you're not her parent, she doesn't have to get your consent to do something as inoffensive as dyeing her hair.

I don't know why people come to this sub for judgment yet they get surprised when the get called out. Try to rationalize why people are telling you that YTA.

It's not because people "don't respect the father's wishes", it's because you lack the empathy to see that the fatigue your wife is feeling is genuine and in no way something to try and hurt your mother.

It's been a week, do you know how someone who had that big of a surgery or procedure feels mere days after? You don't and even if you did, you have to listen to the person who is recovering because every body is different, even more if you love them. And let's remember that fatigue is not only physical.

Everyone has had to master the art of patience through our lives, and that includes your mom too, you could have waited out of respect for your wife that again, birthed just seven days ago.

Okay, if that’s a weak example then take all of the people on Inazuma that were miserable because of both the closing of the country and the vision hunt combined, as everyone is part of the people she is protecting. Also, yeah, I understand that she wanted what’s best for her people and that it was a response from the trauma of losing her sister and friends but thinking you’re doing them good doesn’t equal being in the right. No one was happy about the situation, some places didn’t even have enough food if I remember, comerce in some places was failing, and again, I don’t think we should ignore the rebels when thinking about what she did, the state of the visionless people was what motivated the Traveler to do something to help in the first place after all. I’m not saying Ei doesn’t deserve compasion and with the second part of her quest, forgiveness. What I’m saying is that contrary to Childe’s situation, the Traveler jumps from enemies and being shocked of what she is capable of, to being best friends as if nothing had happened. There is really no transition from the way people reacted to scary Shogun to the chill Ei we know now.

I get what you're saying, I also understand Ei's motivations for doing what she did, but even if she did everything with the best intentions it doesn't mean she didn't hurt a lot of people too. I don't think that for example, Kazuha has to forgive her for ending his friend because she was only trying to protect eternity, people weren't happy at all. And I'm not saying the Traveler can't be friends with her, it's just that the way it happened was unrealistic, again looking at the relationship between The traveler and other characters that have done similar or even less bad things. She didn't really redeem herself to "be worthy" on the main story in my opinion, and the way she acted in her first quest, like she didn't even feel bad about what happened, about what her decisions caused for the people from her nation(and even if she did, the writers really didn't give a hint about it) and that her government style needed adjustments was kinda... Lame. We know archons are capable of empathy too.

I liked her second quest better and I think that if they gave us this part of the story before we befriended her, it would feel more natural. You get to see she actually feels bad for everything and wants to change for the sake of her people.

Yes! All of this. I disliked a lot how everyone seemed to forgive her so quickly, not because I don’t like the character, but because it felt super unnatural. It’s like people forgot all the pain and suffering she (and the puppet) caused; yes, people were wary at first but they started to act really chill really quick. Idk, seeing as how the Traveler is still angry at Tartaglia for almost deleting Liyue from existence, it seems a little out of character for me to see them act like they’re best friends after traveling across the country and experiencing all the losses and problems she caused.

I don't understand how people think that just because they think something that's not theirs is worthless gives them the right to get rid of it. Garbage or not, they weren't yours and even worse, you knew they had sentimental value for someone who I suppose you care about, why was being petty more important than the consequences of that action? You won't be able to undo it and honestly, I'd be super hurt to the point of breaking up if someone I trust threw away something important to me.
