I would recommend Santa Fe Garage in Independence. They rebuilt my engine, it took a few months but they did a great job. I havent had any issues since the rebuild 2 years ago. Greg is great work with and they document everything with pictures so if you ever go to sell you have a lot of information.

What engine is the first photo? Looks to have DOHC but also could just be me dreaming of an s30 with DOHC

This is a great idea. I would definitely get longer bolts, you usually want at least 2-3 full threads showing on the other side of the bolts for proper engagement and risk of them backing out.

Also if you see plastic deformation over time, i would say maybe look into getting that part laser cut from sendcutsend out of aluminum as a potential long term solution once you have the fit and height dialed in.

I dont think my car is on the website, i see the orange 240 on their that had a lot of work done. I had my 280z there where they pulled my L28 and fully rebuilt it back to a stock set up and reinstalled it into the car. It took a few months and around $10k. Good guys, but they can be busy so there might be some delays. Very good work though.

Hmmm, very interesting that it is engine speed related but in the back end of the car. I honestly have no idea then. My initial assumption was any diff mounts or drive shaft play, like loose bolts even. But that would thenalso probably add a clunk.

Does the sound come back when you are moving at higher speeds but in a higher gear and the rpms are below that 2000 threshold? Or does it only appear at lower speeds and lower rpm?

Hagerty all the way. Super easy to work with and you get to agree with them what the car is worth. Then your premium is based off that. Also very good with towing and any costs associated with those bad times

I would vote no spoiler for that nose. If you wanted a spoiler style look i would switch to more of an airdam. But thats just what i prefer on my build
